~~~Y/n's P.O.V~~~~
~~~Fourth of July~~~~
After baby-sitting Sky that weekend me, Mahogany and the guys hung out a lot more. I baby-sat Skylynn a lot more too, so I'm her go-to babysitter now. Me and Nash got over the almost-kiss and just forgot about it. I still like Nash, but he's kind of giving me mixed signals, you know?

Anyways, today is the block party and I'm going with Nash. I'm not sure if this is a date or not or anything else for that matter. It most likely isn't, but even so, I get to spend come quality time with him. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, though.

I decided to start getting ready because it was 3 pm and the thing started at 5.

I took a shower and straightened my hair. Then I pulled it up into a messy bun and tied a bandana on my head that Taylor gave me. I got dressed and by the time I was fully ready, it was 4:27.

I decided to just head over to Nash's house so that we could hang out before the block party.

I walked up to his door and knocked. I was just about to knock again when the door opened up.

"Hey, Hayes," I said hugging him. "Where are the rest of the guys?"

"I think they went to go buy fireworks." he shrugged.

I nodded and headed upstairs to Nash's room.

I approached his door and twisted it open to see my worst nightmare.

I saw Nash on his bed kissing a girl!

"Oh shit. Sorry. I'll come back later," I said as I closed the door and ran downstairs before he could see my watery eyes.

I headed towards the front door and I could hear Nash's footsteps behind me. "Hold up, Y/n." he said.

I just went to the door and opened it as I let a tear fall from my eye, that no one could see. I walked out the door only to bump into Cameron.

"Whoah! What happened?" He asked pulling me into a hug after he noticed my tears. I just pushed him off me, not wanting Nash to know I was upset which would basically scream 'I like you!'

I ran to my house as I finally let all the emotion seep out of my body through tears. I ran to my room and sat on my bed for a couple minutes, just crying, when I heard my door open. Someone sat next to me on my bed, but I couldn't see who it was because my head was buried in my knees. They hugged me and announced, "You really like Nash don't you?"

I reconized Mahogany's voice immediately and looked up. I wiped the mascara from my eyes as I sniffled and nodded. "Maybe," I said with a shaky voice and a chuckle.

She just chuckled back and hugged me tighter. "It's okay," she repeatedly said.

"I think seeing them together just made it real," I said.

"I know, I know. But they barely went on a couple dates, don't worry."

"You know what? I am going to stop crying because he's happy and I'm not gonna mess that up for him. I'm gonna go over there with my happy face on and be the bigger person," I said standing up while pointing my index finger in the air.

"Really?" she asked with a 'you're kidding me right' attitude.

"Yes.....but first, it wouldn't hurt to cry a little more," I said as I crawled back under the covers with Mahogany.

~~~~~~Party Time~~~~~

I fixed my makeup and walked out of my house with Mahogany, into the street where I saw Nash sitting on the curb in front of his house....With her. I'll admit it, when I saw that I wanted to crawl back under the covers and not come out, but sadly that's not how life works.

I am going to be nice and meet her, but I'm still hurt, so I'm just gonna watch the fireworks with everyone else. "You got this?" Mahogs asked me. "I hope," I said walking in Nash's direction.

He looked up when I was in from of them. "Hey, I didn't get to talk to you earlier because you ran off. I everything okay?" Nash asked as he stood up and hugged me. "Oh yeah. Just embarassed that I walked in in you guys," It was true, it just wasn't the whole truth. It's not like I'm gonna say 'Oh, by the way, I ran away because I have a ginormous crush on you.'

"That's good. Anyways, I want you to meet my girlfriend Sam," he replied.

Just then, the girl stood up and our eyes met. Oh my god! It is that Sam!

My mouth dropped open as I managed to say, "Sam?!"

She immediately recognized who I was and made wide eyes as she continued to fake a smile. She mouthed, 'Don't say anything' but I had to tell Nash...and Y/c/n. I was so infuriated that is wanted to smack the shit out of her, but that would be impolite.

"Do you guys know each other?" Nash questioned.

"Yes."
"No."

"Sam is lying to you Nash," I said with an irritated tone in my voice as I pointed at her.

"What is she talking about, Sam?" Nash turned to her as he said that.

"It's nothing baby. She's just lying," she said trying to pull him away from me.

"Stop it!" he said shrugging her hand off of his shoulder. Then he looked at me, waiting for me to continue.

"She is dating my best friend Y/c/n and you. She told him she was going on vacation," I said.

"You bitch! You ruined everything!" she screamed as she flung her hand towards my face, but before she could hit me I grabbed it. I've had enough of her shit!

"Me?! I would love to see things from your perspective, but I can't seem to stick my head that far up my ass!" I shouted and then roughly let go of her arm.

She scoffed and turned to Nash, hoping he would back her up. He shook his head in disapointment. "We're done," he stated as he walked back to his original seat on the curb.

She stood there in shock for a second. "Tell Y/c/n," I said.

She rolled her eyes and walked away, towards her car. I'll give her until tomorrow to tell him, if not I'll tell him.

I walked over to Nash and sat next to him. "I'm sorry Nash, I know you liked her." I said.

I was sorry because I hate seeing him sad, and it might seem fucked up, but a little part of me was happy they broke up.

~~~~Nash's P.O.V~~~~
"It's fine, but thanks," I announced.

"No problem. Just know you can always talk to me," she said as she slung an arm around me. I shrugged and just leaned my head on her right shoulder.

Soon after, fire works started exploding which made Y/n smile at me.

We just sat there the whole night watching fireworks and talking.

I couldn't help, but smile to myself. Y/n is amazing, smart, nice, she stands up for herself, she's beautiful and so much more. She's been there for me and I couldn't imagine the thought of her and Matt together, but-

Oh my god...I like Y/n.
