For being there

There was a time in my life

And I couldn't see past my own strife
But suddenly you came and answered my call

Only honesty to give
No ill judgement to pass
Only love and forgiveness to give
You're so much more than you think you are
Much more than you limit yourself to be
All you have to do if believe in yourself
half as much as you believe in me
It's so rare to see you without a smile
Or a joke to tell
Only good vibes as long as the Nile
And style that's fresh as Hell
I've never met someone with so much generosity
Or with an instinct to give so strongly
But with no expectation of reciprocity
Or desire to hurt others when they treat you wrongly
You're more than any of us deserve in life at any terms
Yet we all take your kindness for weakness
And feed off you like leeches and worms
But one day we'll learn and be left speechless
Because you'll still be here regardless
Cause your loyalty is endless
And your friendship is true
I only hope to be as selfless
And as good a friend as you
This is about the first person I really felt like was a friend and openly said that I was his. I've learned at lot from this person and I've never met anyone like them. I hope we all find a friend like him
