"Lukey have you seen my swim shorts?" Michael asked from inside the closet.
"No but you can probably borrow some of mine," I offered, tossing him a pair of solid black swim shorts. Those were from a long time ago so they would most likely for his now small frame. We were going to the beach this afternoon, meeting Mark and Calum. Mark and Calum had been staying in a beach condo for the past night for their three month anniversary. Everything had gone well for him and I was happy for my friend. Today the invited us to hang out at their condo. It was about a two hour drive but I was willing to make that drive to go to the beautiful ocean. Right now we were packing, as Mark and him had been kind enough to let us stay for a night. After all, they had to condo booked for a week and a half so we could crash for one night, leaving the rest of the nights to them.
As soon as we were all packed, Ashton and I lugged our suitcases into the trunk of the car while Michael gathered food and snacks for the condo and the ride there. Knowing that it was a two hour drive we would need something to keep us happy and that something was food. Also, since the condo wasn't stocked with food, we were only being polite in bringing our own food to stockpile there.
After piling into the car, Ash driving and Michael and I in the back seat, we were ready to begin the drive.

"Calum!" Ashton shouted and launched himself at the boy who just emerged from a very large condo. The drive had taken longer than thought due to the fact that the condo was in a secluded area, the only occupants being sand dunes, wavy grass, the beautiful blue ocean and the occasional crab and sea gull.
"Ashton!" Calum shouted back, jumping up into Ashton's fit arms.
"I missed you," Ashton cooed at the kiwi boy."It's been one day, Ashton," Mark snapped slightly, emerging from the condo. Calum chuckled and climbed down from the arms of Ashton. As they all started talking about something, Michael and I began to unload the car.
Quick hugs and greetings were shared as we got settled into the large house.
Much to my relief Mark asked after a while, "Wanna go swimming?" And that was how we spent the night. Swimming, drinking, having fun, having quality bro-time.
Everything was so happy for so long after that. For two months everything was fine and back in that moment, I had no idea that my entire life was about to change drastically before my eyes. I had no idea that in a just a mere two months everything would tumble down hill. I had no idea what would come, and frankly I am glad for that night around the fire on the beach, happy that everything was so perfect, happy that everything was simple and fun, because it's not anymore.
