Chapter 8 - Corruption

Felix's POV

(2 Months Before)

I was just looking over the mystical Gardens. Something that I have always done. Everyday. Every night. Everyone in my realm was tending to the beautiful flowers, and vines. They always looked at me, with sparkling eyes. It worried me. Everyone in my realm knew that I was basically a God. I had my powers ever since I was born. I could make anything grow healthy, and very beautiful.

"Felix! Could you please come and see this?" A man came up behind me, and bowed down to me. My eyes widened, and I nodded. We walked over to the great statue of our founder. People say that she had powers like mine.. But sadly, no one knows where her where a bouts are. Everyone thinks she's dead, and I am now her spirit. Which is kinda scary to think about... She was reincarnated to be me. The statue was covered in purple vines, making light green ooze come out of them. It looked radioactive.

"Wow.. What happened?" I asked the man.

"I'm not sure.. We just had found out that the statue was getting covered by these rotting vines. We need your help to get rid of it." He bowed down. I felt like a tyrant... I disliked how people always bowed down to me.

"I will. I promise, and... You don't need to bow down every time you say something." I looked at him and bowed back. I heard him chuckle softly. He was an older man, probably was still around when our founder was alive.

"Alright Felix... Thank you." He was about to bow down again, but stopped himself. He chuckled awkwardly, and went back towards the gardens. I then turned my attention to the statue. She was standing there. Hands holding each other, up to her chest.. She seemed so sweet, but people say she was horrible. Maybe this was a sign.

I walked forward, and touched the thorns that were growing on the vines. The thorn started to grow flat, and the vine was turning green. As soon as it turned green, I was relieved. But then it turned back to that dead purple. More green ooze just came out of the vines. It seemed angry. Then there were screams coming from the garden. I looked back and then started to run. My people! They need me..

Once I got there, there were many of them. Raven Realmers. Were the vines some type of warning? I then fell to my knees, and pressed my palm against the ground. The vines started to grow towards all the threats in the area. Then whipped the soldiers away from my gardeners. All this power... I can feel is growing stronger everyday. Then there was this pressure build up in my head, and it was getting harder to breathe. The vines soon started to die, and my vision was coming in and out of focus. I was pulled up from the ground by my head.

"Hello Felix.." A snake like voice said, then threw me forward towards my people. All of my people... The screams. The fear..

"Long time no see." The voice grew closer, then the person was standing in front of me. I looked up at her. Her green orbs looking down at me, with a smirk across her face. Raven.

"S-Stop..! Leave my people... Out of this!" I coughed out dark blood. Everyone that belonged in my realm looked shocked. They haven't seen me bleed before..

"Oh Felix... I don't think I can. Their lives, are apart of mine now. I need them. And, I just came here to make a deal."

"Then spit out your deal.." I frowned, looking to the floor. It was like I was bowing down towards her. I knew she liked it.. I can sense it.

"I need to barrow your lands... Just a simple request."

"For what?"

"Plants of course! My people starve as well... We need crops to keep us alive." She sounded kinda shocked at my response. Maybe she knew how stupid that question was..

"N-No! Sir, don't agree!" I heard a woman yell then yelp.

"Shut up. Peasant." I heard one of the Raven guards say. The word made me feel sick, and angered...

"No one, calls my people... PEASANTS." Suddenly vines started to grow from my palms. It grabbed the guard and threw him towards the Queen, but she managed to dodge it. She ran towards all the vines, and sliced them so they would die..

"I see now what your answer is Felix. And that is death." She suddenly flew towards me, and I felt this sharp pain in my back. I coughed out more of my blood.

"NO!" Everyone was screaming. My eyes were wide, and I could feel the pain... I chose not to scream.

"LOOK AT YOUR LEADER EVERYONE!" The Queen kept stabbing me over and over, I can see my vision slowly fading, and the pain starting to go away.

"See your god... Die."
