Jack's POV
The Queen screeched as her wings were now on the floor. Everyone suddenly froze, looking over at the Queen as she fell to the floor. Vanoss stood there, eyes narrowed as he stared down at her. They were staring at her with pure hatred...
"You.. HOW DARE YOU?" She lunged at him, trying to claw him. But he moved back, dodging the attack easily. She fell back to the floor, twitching with pain. Vanoss turned towards the crowd of people.
"It's over... Everything is over. Your rule is over!" The Raven Realmers looked shocked, jaws open, and eyes wide.
"Run!" One of them screeched, as all of them started to retreat out the Throne room, and from the Owl Realm. The Battle Realmers were cheering, hitting their shields with their swords, and throwing helmets in the air.
"C-Cowards..!" The Queen started to crawl towards Vanoss, but fell back down and failed to do so. Vanoss soon pointed his sword at her, eyes narrowed. Me, Craig and Jon looked at each other in panic, then ran over to him.
"Kill me.." She mumbled, shuffling around. Jonathan took Evan's hand, looking up at him with wide eyes.
"Don't do it.. You're better than a killer." He murmured softly. Vanoss was staring down at the Queen. His eyes were so hostile, it was like he was a whole other person. Who was this man? He then lowered his sword, and sighed softly..
"Ok." Vanoss looked to Jonathan, his eyes back to normal... Like nothing had happened. The Queen growled then stopped squirming, she has given up... Cry, Mark, and Tyler then joined us, but not Felix? I glanced around behind me, noticing he's no where to be seen. Did something happen to him?
"But... You do deserve something worse than death." Vanoss then picked up her wings.
"So you don't hurt anyone else..." He spawned a knife and started shaving the feathers off of the wings. The Queen sat there, her green eyes slightly fading to a more of a grayish. She looked so... Calm. It wasn't angry, it wasn't even a sadness calm. Maybe she knew... She knew this was gonna happen to her. Or she knows something is gonna happen... What's on her mind? Vanoss then tossed the wings to the floor. The wings looked so dead... They were just bone.. Is that why they aren't going back to their rightful owner? Or is it because they had enough of the abuse..
"Let's go." Vanoss gestured us to come with him as he began to exit out of the room.. Cry and Mark followed. Soon Craig and Tyler did too. I couldn't help but look at this beast that we... No, he just killed. Vanoss looked so angry before.. I feel like he knows about the Great Owl being missing. They were very close to each other.. Then I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. It was Jonathan.. He looked so sad. Almost like, what he just saw was all wrong. But he managed a smile across his face.
"Let's go.." He murmured to me. I do feel like we did something wrong.. But we ended up stopping a great threat to all the Realms. Why do I feel so... Guilty in a way. Jon then tugged on my shoulder lightly, and I began to follow him out into the hallway.
-"So... Is she no longer a threat? We're safe now right?" Craig looked at Cry and Vanoss. Eyes big with curiosity.. They both looked at each other, then back at Craig.
"Yes.. We are." Cry then stiffened up, making weird robotic sounds. Was he breaking down..? He slowly formed a fist with his hand, and hit the portal gun a few times.
"I think... I should get back to my realm. I called back my people to the realm.. They are safe now."
"What about our realms?" Mark cut into the conversation. Cry stood there, blank faced as normal...
"I'll send out a signal strong enough to reach all your people. They'll be back soon.." He then started messing with his portal gun, and made a portal leading back to his realm.
"I'm sorry, but I need to go find Marcel. He's still captured on my realm, and he might be in danger.." Craig then looked at Tyler. Looking at him with a sad expression across his face. I'm guessing he doesn't want him to go.. Tyler then looked back at Craig, looking sad too. They looked like they both had such a strong bond..
"I can go with you."
"Not this time Craig.. You won't protect me, and can't either. You're a Living Realmer, and you should stay on your Realm. I'll come back, I swear to it. And if I don't... I.. I'll see you in another life." Tyler rested his hand on Craig's shoulder, looking away from his sad face. I sat there in silence... I'm not sure what to say, but.. I have to tell my realm what happened.. What happened with the Raven Queen.. What happened to... Gabriel.
"I... Guess I have to stay here. I'll need to search for the Great Owl, and.. I can't let my people live without a King. They'll need guidance."
"W-Wait... You're.. Not going to stay with me?" Jonathan looked at Vanoss, his eyes soon tearing up. Vanoss looked at him, his face also looking sad.
"I can't... My people need me, and you can't stay.. I mean, it would probably be safer for you to stay in your own realm. Jon, you're probably the best thing that has happened in my life. But I want you to stay safe. Here." Jonathan blinked as Vanoss took a whistle out of his pocket. He then gave it to Jonathan, a soft smile across his face. Jon blew into it, and it didn't make a sound?
"It's not suppose to work unless you're in danger, Jonathan." Vanoss giggled softly.
"So this is like a rape whistle..?" Everyone went awkwardly silence. Except Tyler, he let out a little snort of laughter. Craig then elbowed him, in the stomach, making him suddenly wheeze.
"Um... Yea. I guess so."
"But... What happens if I can't blow into it? Like I'm captured, and I don't have it on me."
"Well then... Craig can do it, since you both are in the same realm. And he would know since you two live close."
"What if both of us are captured?" Cry then coughed, walking towards Jonathan. He then held out a weird phone towards him.
"Take it. It's a communicator. Keep it on you at all times. It will notify me, and I could notify the others." Cry gave a small smile.
"Huh... Ok. Thanks Cry." Jonathan smiled softly. Cry gave him a small nod in response.
"Hey.. I've gotta go. My people have a right to know that.." I started to choke up, why couldn't I say his name? It's so difficult to force out, but they have a right to know right?
"I understand Jack." Cry then came over to me. He placed his hand on my shoulder, then pulled me into a hug. My eyes widened in alarm.
"He's dead... Right?" I stood silent, he knew... Cry always knew everything. I then felt tears run down my face.
"He was like family.."
"I know... But you need to be strong, and move on. You have a bigger priority in your hands now." He then let me go, looking at me with his masked face... It was so blank.
"Alright.. I need a portal back." Cry made his portal disappear, and made another appear with a flash.
"Thanks Cry.."
"Your Wel-wel-welcome." His voice sounded glitchy. He seemed shocked to hear himself like that..
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"Don't worry about me... Worry about your people first. Just go, I'll be fine." I looked at the portal and walked towards it. I honestly didn't want to leave, but... My people are very important. I looked back at everyone. Their faces looking tired, and sad.. Especially Mark's, even though he was hiding it with a smile.
"Bye... Everyone." I murmured softly. Then I entered into the portal, without any goodbyes.
