Mother and I arrive home after a long day at the dress store, whatever it's called, just to be bombarded with questions from my little sister, Kate. "What dress did you get? How about shoes? Are you excited? Who do you hope to marry? It's not Jason, right? I never did like that boy." My sisters 14 and she sure does talk quite a bit. I hold in my sigh and begin answering her questions in a tone that sounds like I care. "I got this lovely maroon dress with lace sleeves and a lace top and my shoes are just simply amazing, their black ballerina shoes (picture)! I'm not sure who I hope to marry, but I can promise that my fingers are crossed that it's not Jason." Jason was my ex-boyfriend, we broke up a few months ago because of this marriage thing. He knew there was a slight chance of being my husband so he just ended it to save himself the heartbreak, which I totally get. "Sweetie?" My mother broke me out of my train of thought. "Yes mother?" "We've had a long day, and it's already 7:30, so you should grab something to eat then get some rest for your big day tomorrow." I nodded and headed to the kitchen to make some ramen noodles. Even in bad times ramen noodles make everything better. I then head up to my room, dreading the day before me.

I rush into my house as fast as I possibly can with my father behind me. It was 9:29, curfew in a minute! I've been at the tux shop all day and completely lost track of time, luckily my father and I are inside the house by 9:30. I wipe the sweat off my forehead and head upstairs to show my mother my tux. "Mom!" I yelled. "Yes darling?" I heard a reply from the work office. I walk into her office and hold up my tux. "Oh! Son that's lovely your going to catch all the ladies attention!" Mother smiled and father came in to pat me on the back. They both just looked at me and smiled. They've always treated me like a little boy but the facial expression they just made is making me think their starting to see me in a new way. "Well, go to sleep! Even men need their beauty sleep! Other wise you'll end up looking like your father." She whispered the last part to me and giggled. "Hey I heard that!" Father said. I then head up to my room, excited for the day before me.
