Chapter 1: First Day

Alex woke up. 5:30 am. Today, his dreams were about to come true; he was going to University.
"ALEX!" a voice shouted from downstairs," HURRY UP!"
"It is literally 5:30. I need to leave at 7:00," he groaned, and quickly got dressed. You've got this. Ok, today is the first day of uni. Comfortable or cool? Comfortable always wins. He picked out a blue T- shirt and jeans, making sure that his hair was in a neat, low ponytail. "ALEX!"
"IM COMING!" he couldn't wait for his first day. Rolling his two suitcases behind him, he ran down the stairs, waiting to receive a text to say when classes start.
" First day of Uni, son! How ya feeling?"

Silence.

"I'm not your son," Hamilton said coolly, " and I'm excited."

DING.
FROM: UNIVERSITY
TO: ALEXANDER HAMILTON
Dear sir,
I am writing to inform you that classes start at 7:05 am the next day. Please arrive early so that we can assign you a dorm number.
Good luck,
Aaron Burr.

"Sir, I have to go." Alex said tonelessly.
" Ok. Just one more thing- remember to write!" something told Washington that he wouldn't.

Alex's POV

I walked into campus. It was bigger than I expected, stretching for miles, or so it seemed. I looked around shaking, where was he? He asked me to meet him here. He's probably just late; he's a busy man. Finally, I spotted him in the crowd. I ran over, being careful not to sound too over excited, "Pardon me, are you Aaron Burr?"
"It depends who's asking," he said with a grin.
"I'm Alexander Hamilton, sir. I've been looking for you..."
"Of course! You're the new kid, right?" he asked. His eyes lit up for a moment. I could tell he was excited to be a guide.
"Yes. And I'm also quite lost. Can you tell me where the front desk is?"
"Straight through the door and ahead." he said smiling.
"THANK YOU!" I shouted as I ran to the entrance. Today was going to be a great day.
