Chapter 7

Lucas was right he really does enjoy being tied up to me. Every chance he gets he makes sure to trip me or makes me stumble.

"Okay next exercise; you have to walk with your team over an upside-down bench while balancing a platter on your hand each. And for those who are thinking to just place one platter on the hands that are joined if I see you do that you're going to run 10 laps while tied to each other." Mr. McCane states. Apparently some kids had outsmarted him in an earlier class.

"Okay so this is how we're going to do this. We're both going to take our platter then I'm going to hold mine in the hand that's tied to yours so I can place yours on your hand correctly and then I'm going to place my platter on my hand." I say to Lucas as the plan takes form in my head.

"Okay and how are we going to get over the bench?" He asks.

"We'll walk or slide depending on what works." I say as we take our platters. He takes the lead to walk and surprisingly it's a piece of cake. We see others fall of the bench so they have to restart but we succeed from the first try. So as we place our platters down I'm so enthusiast that I hug Lucas.

It's a weird hug since I'm still tied to Lucas but it feels good to hug him. And it feels even better when he places his arm around me. I'm not sure how long we stand there like that but I don't want to let go. Just as I'm about to let go someone bumps into Luke so he falls down and I take the hit of the fall.

"Auch!" I yell as my head hits the ground.

"Oops, clumsy me." Sasha grins "But Emma I bet you're happy since there's finally a guy lying on top of you!"

"Well at least there haven't been thousands of guys like with you." Luke says to Sasha who turns red.

"Oh, how sweet. The boytoy's standing up for her." Sasha smiles to her minions.

"Really Sasha don't you have anything better to do? We all know that you're a bitch so fuck off!" I say done with her.

"You're going to pay for that!" She says with an evil smile on her face before walking away.

"Come on, let's get up." Luke says as he stands up and drags me with him.

Sasha ruined Luke's good mood and now he's acting like a jerk again. So I'm glad when Mr. McCane explains the last game. We've got to run through an obstacle field outside. Of course it's raining and the grass is wet so it's even more difficult to do.

Lucas and I are the last pair to start the exercise so most of the others are already waiting by the side-line watching. As we near the end a foot comes out of nowhere and trips Lucas and me. Of course we fall down and roll down the hill. Did I mention our PE field lies slightly higher than the rest of the ground and lays next to a tiny forest that's part of our campus?

As we finally come to a stop Lucas' lying underneath me breathing hard. We've both got scratches from the trees and we're dirty from all the mud we rolled through.

"Are you okay?" I ask him as I try to stand up but for some reason he won't let me.

"I'm fine. You?" He asks as he pushes a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Fine." I answer my voice barely a whisper as I look in his eyes. As if snapping out of a trance Luke pushes me of him before standing up. He then starts the walk fast towards the others making me almost trip a couple of times.

"Why do you have to be so clumsy all the time?!" He yells at me.

"What?" I ask dumbfounded.

"You made us fall down that hill!" He says angrily.
