"Where are we going?" I ask as Lucas drives us somewhere.
"You'll see. We're almost there." He states as he takes a turn right and comes to a stop two minutes later. He stops before a small house that's located in the middle of nowhere.
"Where are we?" I alter my question a bit.
"We're at my place." He answers simply.
"What do you mean your place?" I ask confused.
"This is my house, I bought it with the money I earned from racing." He replies shrugging. I take another look at the house. It's old and seems like it needs to get fixed up a lot. The paint is more than just shipped, the wood is starting to rot at the door and porch. There're weeds everywhere and it's located in the middle of nowhere.
"I can see what you're thinking. Why would I buy such a dump?" he says looking at me. "I needed a place for my own and in time I will fix it up when I've got the money to do so."
"It could use a little fixing up but I get why you chose it. It's isolated and away from everybody so it's calm and you're free to do whatever you want." I do get why he bought this place and I can understand why but I don't know why he needs it now.
"You're right. Come on let's get inside." He says taking my hand and walking towards the door. As he opens the door for me I'm greeted by his smell. The spicy and manly one. But there's another one as well it smells a bit of muff. The inside of the house resembles the outside but it's a bit more fixed up and there are a couple of pieces furniture placed already.
"It's... nice." I try to appreciate it.
"Hahaha, I know it needs a lot of work but it's funny to see you try to be enthusiastic." He laughs.
"So, why did you bring me here?" I look at him curious about his answer.
"Because you're going to help me fix it. We're going to paint. That will get your mind of things." He smiles at me.
"Paint? I'm not going to paint in these clothes!" I'm not really vain but these are some of my favourite clothes so I'm not going to get paint on them.
"Come on, you didn't think that I was going to paint in these clothes either now, did you?" he grabs my hand again and drags me towards another room. "Besides I like your outfit, you look hot."
I can't stop the blush from coming out. But hey at least the outfit worked. He hands me a T-shirt and some sweatpants that are way too big for me but I accept them anyway. I look expectedly at him but he doesn't notice and starts to change.
"Euhm..." I clear my throat so he knows I'm still there.
"What's wrong babe, you can't handle this." He says pointing to his shirtless chest and stomach. Well hello six-pack!
"Keep telling yourself that Lucas!" I grin "I was wondering where I could change."
"I don't mind if you change here." He smirks cockily. I just give him a look that says it all. "Take the first door to the left it's a bathroom."
"Thanks." I say before heading out but not before I take one last look at a shirtless Lucas. The way he's grinning shows that he noticed but he doesn't say anything. I go in the bathroom and change quickly. As I put the clothes on I'm greeted by the familiar smell of spices and something manly.
I walk out of the bathroom to be greeted by a smiling Lucas.
"Perhaps I shouldn't have made you change... The T-shirt looks hot on you but the sweatpants so aren't sexy." I can't contain my laugh.
