F I V E

Grayson woke up with Jade in his arms. He smiled as he remembered last night. He tried to get up without waking Jade, but she held on to him tighter. He sighed as he cuddled up to her. He closed his eyes as he fell back asleep.

They both woke up and left the tree house, bringing everything with them. They placed everything in the car and drove to the Dolans house. They walked up to Grayson's room and lay in his bed. They watched movies for the entire day, eating the food they were supposed to eat last night.

It was 10pm when Jade turned to see Grayson sleeping. She tried to remove his arm from around her waist. When she was free, she climbed out of bed and went to Ethan's room. She knocked on and walked in. She saw him sleeping in a similar position as Grayson. 

She sighed as she jumped on him. He moved around, trying to get her off him. She sat on him and slapped his face. He opened his eyes and looked at her. "Eth, I need you to get up. Now" she whispered. He was confused but sat up. "Listen, I need you to come with me. So I don't go too far" she explained.

"What do you mean?" Ethan asked.

"Just get up!" Jade exclaimed as she ripped his duvet off him. They walked out his room and left the house. Ethan got his car keys and got in the car. Jade sat next to him. "Just drive, I'll tell you where to go". Ethan did as she said and drove along the streets.

Eventually, they parked outside a house. Jade got out the car with Ethan following her. She banged on the front door and waited for someone to answer the door. Soon enough, the door opened the reveal...Kirsty.

Kirsty groaned when she saw Jade. "What are you doing here?!" She asked in annoyance. Jade punched her in the face. Kirsty fell the the floor, holding her nose. Ethan was shocked, but didn't attempt to help Kirsty.

"That's what you get for cheating!" Jade yelled in anger. Jade grabbed Kirsty by the hair and pulled her face close to hers. "And this is what you get for hurting Grayson!" She whispered in Kirsty's ear. She began to kick Kirsty while she was on the floor.

Ethan watched the whole thing. But he stopped Jade when he saw she was beginning to hurt Kirsty too much. He pulled her away and looked at her. "Jade!" Jade looked at him. "She's learned her lesson! Leave her alone! Think about how Gray would feel!" Jade calmed down and glared at the injured Kirsty.

"Now I've hit you!"

Ethan and Jade left and drove back to the Dolans. Ethan drove into the driveway and parked the car. They stayed in the car for a while before going inside. They didn't talk, they sat in silence. "So she cheated on Gray?" Ethan asked.

"Yeah" Jade replied.

Finally, they went inside. As they opened the door, they saw Grayson standing with his arms crossed. "Where have you two been at this hour?" Grayson asked. Jade looked at Ethan, only to see him staring at her.

"We had something that needed to be taken care of" Jade said. She took her shoes off and hung her coat up. She walked to Grayson and placed her hand on his chest, trying to push him upstairs. "Let's go back to bed".

Quickly, he gripped her wrist. He examined her bloody knuckles. "What happened?!" He asked. Jade attempted to retrieve her hand, but his grip was too strong. He looked at her. She stared into his hazel eyes as he stared back at her. She couldn't bring herself to tell him the truth. Grayson's face showed he was in disbelief. And then she knew.

He knew.

"You hurt Kirsty, didn't you?!" She avoided looking into his eyes. "Jade! I know you're trying to protect me, but you can't hurt everyone who hurts me! Eventually, they would get what they deserve. Karma will do its magic! You don't become Karma!"
