Chloe felt a strange cold breeze hitting her as she slept, she opened her eyes to find herself in a moving train car.

She got up, inspecting the area as she moved around. Her normal pajamas had changed into a pair of jeans and a plain black t-shirt. Her gem visible.

"All passengers must be seated at this time." She heard a voice call over a speaker.
She refused to sit, instead she kept moving towards the front of the train.

"All passengers must be seated at this time." The voice called again, but this time it was a bit louder.

Chloe stopped to see out the window, the train was riding through a open field, no buildings in sight.

"All passengers must be seated at this time." The voice screamed, Chloe ran as fast as she could to the front of the train.

She stopped as she had reached the last car, but the train was moving backwards, tricking her to the last car.

"Whats going on?" She whispered to herself as she turned around, she saw the door to the next car was gone, both doors were suddenly nonexistent.

She wanted to scream, but was cut short as she noticed her normally black hair now was dark green.

The car shook as a giant hand tore through the roof, grabbing Chloe and lifting her out and above the train.

She screamed as the hand started to squeeze her tightly, making it harder for her to breathe.

Then the world turned black.

Chloe jolted awake, taking a moment to adjust to the pitch black room, she looked around to see June sound asleep, but the clock read 3:27.

Around 7:30 in the morning, June and Chloe took their time to get up and get dressed, Chloe in a sweater and jeans, with June in a t-shirt and shorts.

The two walked downstairs and made coffee, and sat down on the couch, June grabbing a pen and starting to jot something down on a piece of paper.

"June," Chloe said shakily, "did you have a bad dream last night?"
"No, why?" June answered curiously as she looked up from the paper.
"I did, I woke up at 3:27 too." The last statment made June worried, what was the big deal with 3:27? She couldn't make it out.
"What was your dream about?"
"I was in a train, I kept hearing someone calling out for me to sit down, but I just kept moving towards the front of the train, but when I made it there, I was in the back of the train, then a giant hand broke through the roof and grabbed me." Chloe explained, her voice was shaky.

"So, you were grabbed from a backwards train." June summarized.
"Yeah."
"I dont know what that means."
"Neither do i." Chloe bluntly added
The two sat in silence for a moment before Chloe spoke up.
"Whatcha writing?" Chloe asked
"Im composing a list of items were gonna need for our 'trip'" June used her hands to exaggerate her words.
"Like what?"
"Milk, eggs, bread." June sarcastically answered.
"The trip to Delmarva or to the grocery store?" Chloe joked
"I'm kidding." June said before standing up and grabbing her purse.
"Were gonna need to buy a few things before we leave." June gestured for Chloe, and the two left the apartment and started their stroll.
"First we're gonna need something to protect ourselves with." June listed off.
"Dont you have knives in your kitchen? Those will work." Chloe added
"Yep, thats one thing." June checked off 'weapons', "now we need a bag."
"We could always buy a cheap duffel bag." Chloe answered.
"Right, now food." June said, "I was thinking granola bars." She added.
"Yeah."

The two made their way to the central mall, and went into a cheap department store to look for their stuff.
June was looking at some bags while Chloe was staring at a woman. She seemed strangely familiar to her, could it ber her abnoxious hair? Or the way she walked? She was completely dumbfounded.
June paid for a small duffel bag and the two continued their shopping trip, buying a flashlight and two water bottles from a sporting goods store.
After they had filled their hands with bags, the two made their way to a table at the food court, testing if all the supplies they had bought even fit in the bag.

"Okay, we have all the things we need except for food and knives." June said as she zipped up the filled duffel bag, and threw out the bags, Chloe kept the receipts for later.
"Wanna get food?" Chloe asked as she looked about the food court, hoping June didnt waste all of her money.
"Sure, I have a bit of cash left." June said as the two walked over to a vendor, and purchased their food.
They sat down with the bag on the table, eating their food as the mall was filled with people.
"How much do you get for your birthday?" Chloe asked
"Not much, Ive just been saving up for, about seven years." June said as she took a drink from her water.
"What do you even ask for?"
"Money." June bluntly answered.
"Nice."

The two finished their meal and took the subway back to June's apartment, dropping the bag off in her room before walking back out into the living room to see that Abby and Kyle were sitting down, facing the two as they walked out.
"Hey June, you two need to sit down." Kyle patted the seat on the couch next to him.
"Yeah?" June said, refusing to sit down.
"We need to ask you something." Kyle seemed suspicious, had they found something out?
"Are you two doing things you shouldnt be?" Abby asked, causing a stir in June and made Chloe hold back her laughter.
"What the hell, Abby?" June yelled, what did she think they were doing?
"We're kidding, chill." Kyle stated before bursting into laughter with Abby.
Chloe grabbed June's wrist and pulled her out of the apartment before leading her back onto the roof of the skyscraping apartment complex.

It was dark out, just under ten minutes ago had the sun set, it was about 7:30.

"Look, June." Chloe said with a blank expression before pointing to the border of the city.
"What?" June asked.
"We're gonna be there tomorrow." Chloe seemed a bit down, and a bit happy at the same time, June couldn't make out why.
"Are you okay?" June asked Chloe, in which Chloe wanted to ask her the same.
"I'm scared." Chloe answered, she stared out at the ruined state.
"We'll be fine." June said as she stood next to Chloe, looking out.
"I know." Chloe sighed.

The two stood there for about ten more minutes before heading down to June's room, opening a map and drawing out a plan for their route to the coast, and Beach city.

"We should hit as many towns as possible, there might be supplies we can rumage." Chloe insisted.
"Right." June said as she circled a town labeled 'Ocean Town'
The route wasn't too long, in fact, Chloe confirmed that the trip should only take five days if traveling at a consistent rate.
After planning, the two packed the bag with extra clothes and walked down to the kitchen, grabbing three of the sharpest knives along with a box of granola bars.
June grabbed a knife sharpener, just in case.

The two packed their items and stowed the bag behind the dresser in the room, just in case June's mom were to walk in and see.
June set an alarm on her phone for 2:30 a.m., just when the night shifts switch into the graveyard shifts. Perfect time to sneak out.
Chloe stared out of the bedroom window, taking in the bright city before muttering "goodbye." To herself.

The two purposely fell asleep in their day clothes, sure that June's alarm would wake up the two when the time was near.

Chloe found herself in a white dress, surrounded by fire and ashes.

"You'll be fine.." a. voice said from behind her.
She turned around to find a girl with triangular shaped hair and all green attire speaking to her, a hand clasped to her side.

"I'll be fine, just go!" She yelled, a path clearing in the fire just long enough for Chloe to run, falling face first into mud before hearing a voice call...

She looked up to see a purple woman open her mouth, all that came out was a blaring alarm that scared Chloe awake.

She sat up to see June turning off her alarm.

"You awake?" She asked.
"Yeah." Chloe answered as she grabbed the map of the route they had made.
"Lets go." June said before the two crept downstairs and soon they had made it outside.

The girls found no threat in running toward the border of Keystone, making their way towards life or death.
