Alec P.O.V

"You okay? " Magnus asked me, as he noticed me fidgeting with my already sweaty hands.

"Yeah, I-I'm alright." I lied, as I straightened my perfectly ironed shirt for the third time the last two minutes.

"I'm sure they are very nice people and will be fine with it, maybe not from the first second on, but after some time..."

"They are very nice people and I love them, but they can be also strict. I just don't know how to tell them."

"There is no book for these things. There is no wrong or right, you have to decide on your own. Just tell them how it is and don't be ashamed of it. It's okay to be afraid of telling them, but don't let the fear take control over you."

"Thanks." I said hugging him closing my eyes as I did so. Maybe this isn't the good idea I thought it was as I called them.

I took one last breath, before there was a knock on the door. I gave Magnus a quick look, who nodded back in agreement before I answered the door.

"Alec, my love how are you?" My mother, Maryse, said as she hugged me tightly.

"I'm fine, thanks. And you?" I asked, as I was hugged by my father.

"We are okay, thanks for asking." My mother replied.

"Me too, by the way." I heard a voice behind me, which I immediately recognized.

"Izzy! I didn't knew you were coming too." I said, as I hugged her and swirled her around.

I knew it would be much easier telling them with her by my side. She would always be on my side, no matter what.

"She wouldn't let us leave, after we told her she could come too." My father said shaking his head, while laughing.

"I would say sorry, if I were." She said looking proud of herself.

"So what is it, you wanted to talk about? Do we have to worry?" Maryse asked a bit concerned.

"I hope not." I said my voice growing more serious, as I closed the door and turned to see their slightly worried faces.

"I asked you to come, because I wanted to tell you something I couldn't tell you on the phone..."

"And I have no incurable disease and no, I don't do drugs." I continued as I saw their faces growing more concerned.

"Alec, whatever it is, just tell us. I'm sure it's not that bad." Izzy said, laying a hand on my shoulder.

"Mum, dad, I've met someone during this summer." I said avoiding eye contact.

"Well that's awesome! Where is she?" Robert asked trying to take a look in the room where Magnus was waiting.

"It isn't that easy..." I said fidgeting with my hands again.

"Honey, take a deep breath and calm down."

"It's a boy." I blurted out. Silence. "Mum. Dad. I'm gay." I said finally daring to lift my eyes again and searching for disgusted or disapprovingly looks, but I couldn't find any.

"Knew it!" I heard Izzy beside me grinning triumphantly patting my shoulder.

"Izzy!" My parents said in unison, so she grew quiet within one second and I heard her cough, trying to hide her uncontrollable grinning. The room went silent from then on.

"Can you please say something?" I asked my parents.

"Well Alec, we're not angry or anything, just surprised." My mom told me.

"Give us a bit time, so we can register it fully. We'll need a bit time to get used to it, but we're okay with it in general."

"Thanks." I said wrapping my arms around them. I think I never felt as relieved as I did then.

"I wanted to tell you for so long now." I said half laughing.

"I'm happy you did now. Makes me kinda proud." Izzy said emphasizing the last part dramatically.

I just smiled at her and turned back to my parents.

"He's waiting over there" I said gesturing to the neighbour room. "Wanna meet him?" I said hopefully.

"Yes." They all said following me through the doors. I stepped in first giving Magnus an approving smile, before I placed myself beside him.

He stand up to greet them, but stopped halfway as he saw them and I could see all of their smiles drop.

"This is..." I started, but got cut off by my mother.

"Please tell me you are not dating Magnus Bane!" My mother nearly yelled giving me a death glare, as she spit out his name as if it was dirt.

"Maryse..." My father said, but didn't dare to lift his eyes, as his wife went on.

"You dirty little...Don't you dare to fucking touch my son..." she said stepping in front of him aggressively lifting her hand.

"Mom, don't!" I could hear Izzy scream.

But before she could reach him I stepped in between. Magnus just stood there paralyzed and said nothing.

"What the hell is going on?!" I said turning to the both of them.

"I-I..." Magnus started but got also cut off by my furious mother.

"You won't see him again, Alexander, you come with us. Your vacations is over." She said gripping my wrist, trying to pull me with her.

"Why?! What is wrong with all of you?! I'm not going anywhere, before you tell me what's going on."

"Marys, I haven't told him anything and I won't do it in the future. Nothing will happen to him."

"How is he supposed not to find out with someone like you by his side?!"

"How is supposed not to find out with three shadowhunters by his side?! Right, there's no way! He already does!"

"What did you just said?"

"He can see through my spells, he will remember everything, just a matter of time."

"You did this! We'll take him with us, this isn't the right influence." She said with a disgusted look and turned.

"What are you even talking about?!" I asked, as I saw my father taking a thin stick out, with which he went over a dark pattern on his skin I've never noticed before until now.

It looked like a tattoo, but as he did so it changed its colour. I looked at Magnus one last time, as he mouthed the words 'I love you'.

Within seconds we were standing in our living room at home in Canada. No Magnus in sight.

A/N: I think I've never written this much, but it was fun, because I have a plan from now on...Warning! Drama approaching...
