Chapter 11

Alec P.O.V

This day was already perfect. The sun burned from above, a light breeze was present and the sound of the waves was like music in my ear.

The air smelled like dry needles of pines and a bit salty from the water. This was my personal paradise. Magnus and I laid in a comfortable silence next to each other, enjoying every second, until it was too hot to just lay there anymore.

"What are you doing?" Magnus asked eyes still closed, as I got up and took my shirt off.

"Going for a swim, wanna join me?"

"No, thanks, I will..." He started, but stopped mid-sentence, as he saw me.

"...enjoy the view from here."

"You are going to catch fire, if you stay here in the sun, come on." I said taking his arm, pulling him along.

"Okay, okay, coming. Where do we go in?"

"We jump from the cliff. It's not that high and it's deep at that point."

"I'm not going to jump off that cliff." He said, already turning around.

"You will, come on. It's fun and it looks higher than it actually is." I said, turning him around again and this time I didn't let go of his hand.

"People always say those things in movies and then they die."

"Magnus, I've done it many times before, maybe more often than I can count and all I said was the truth. So stop complaining and follow, you will thank me afterwards." I said, as I started to climb on the cliff.

"Most certainly I won't, but okay. I'll do it for you, because you wouldn't leave me alone anyway."

"Great. Take your shirt off then. We jump on three."

"So demanding. I like that." He said in a flirtatious voice. Was he really flirting with me? 'I hope so' I thought to myself, as he took his shirt off, which revealed a perfect six-pack and his strong upper arms.

I tried to look away as fast as could, but it wasn't fast enough for Magnus not to notice my stare. He seemed to notice everything.

"Is that a sunburn, or do I see a blush on your face Alexander?"

"It's the sun, we should jump now. On three." I said, while he took my hand gently.

"Of course it is. Two."

"One!" I said jumping with him in the cold water.

At first I was slightly shocked, because it was colder than I thought, but it felt good anyway. I swam to the surface again, meeting Magnus one feet behind me.

"Wasn't that bad, was it?"

"The jump was fun, but this is fucking cold." He said swimming to me.

"I think that it is, and I'm going out on a limb there, necessary to cool down." I told him jokingly.

"God, why didn't I think of that earlier? That's awesome! Alexander you're awesome!"

"I'm aware of that, but I think we should go out, before we're freezi...WHAT THE HELL?! OH MY GOD!"

"What's up Alexander? Are you okay?"

"Yes!" and with that I was off, swimming as fast as I could and with every touch with one of these beasts I shivered and asked myself if someone could die of so much disgust I felt at the moment.

As I reached the coast again, I laid myself on a ledge and took heavy breaths.

As Magnus reached me he knelt next to me and shook me.

"Alexander, what's up? Are you okay?"

I couldn't tell him. That would be too embarrassing. Even my family made fun of me sometimes, because of this.

"Yes, I'm good now, let's eat something."

"Nice try, but I won't do anything, till you tell me what made you so furious in there"

"It's nothing."

"Tell me."

"It's embarrassing."

"I don't care."

"God please, I'm fucking scared of jelly-fishes. Happy?" I said feeling very uncomfortable.

"You may laugh now."

"I won't."

"Why not."

"Because I can see how much this pains you and everybody is afraid of something and fear is something you shouldn't be ashamed for. 'Fear is wisdom in the face of danger'."

"Sherlock Holmes? Really?"

"Exactly. I think you should drink something. You're very pale."

"Logic deduction, Homes." I said, as he helped me to get up.

Fun Fact: I'm so afraid of jelly fishes, omg, I just had to bring them up. I mean they are harmless, but nothing is as disgusting than them swimming against your leg or belly without you noticing them first...
