Going to the café became more exciting.

Every day, I would go the café, meet John there, talk a little, laugh, and just have fun. Sometimes, Becky would also hang out with us. She would sit in the corner, throwing these warning looks at me.

I didn’t know why she was so paranoid about it all, and I almost didn’t believe her when she said that John would only play with me then throw me away. He was just so nice to do that, and every day I feel like I was getting more and more attached to him.

Okay,  I would be lying if I said that I didn’t have a tiny little crush on him, and I also knew that my feelings are growing, but who wouldn’t? John is the like the perfect guy that you would dream of.

He likes sports, treats girls well, has an amazing personality, and lets not forget about his amazing looks. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day he came to me telling me that he became the perfect guy of the year.

But then, Becky sensed my crush, and she have been annoying me ever since.

“I told you Becky, it’s alright, I’m not in love with him.” I shrugged as I took my books from the locker. She scoffed from behind me.

“Are you shitting me? Do you think that I will believe you when I can clearly see how you wear these puppy eyes whenever you see him?” She looked at me ridiculously. I sighed at turned my head to look at her. I got used of how protective Becky could be, and I didn’t want to fight with her, so I just nodded my head and continued walking to my next class.

There is no way I look at him with puppy eyes, right?

As if he was reading my mind, John came out of nowhere, talking to someone that wasn’t that far from me and Becky. He was laughing brightly, lighting the whole room, and for a second I forgot about everyone else in the room. He looked so amazing, and his green eyes looked almost like a blue ocean because of his shirt.

“Oh, here comes the puppy eyes,” Becky commented as she stopped right beside me. I sent her a glare, which she returned.

“I’m not looking at him with puppy eyes.” I rolled my eyes.

“Okay then, look at him, and turn to look at me when I tell you, okay?” I frowned a little, not understanding that point of that, but I nodded anyway.

I changed my gaze once again to look at him. He didn’t change his position, but this time, he wasn’t looking at his friend, or at anyone else near him, he was looking at me with a huge, warm smile.  Again, I forgot about everyone around me, and smiled back at him. When he secretly winked at me, I almost stopped breathing, and gulped slowly.

“Turn to look at me, Jasmine,” Becky said, snapping me out of my daze. I blinked a few times, before turning around to just look at my reflection.

Yes, I had a puppy eyes on my face. My eyes were wide, holding a dreamy look in them, and they didn’t look like the usual color of brown, they almost looked hazel from how light they were. My cheeks were red sightly, and I caught the glimpse of a big, wide smile before it turned into a frown when I noticed how I looked like.

“I do look like a lost puppy.” I agreed with her. She was holding a smug look on her face that she proved her point right, she returned the mirror, that was in her hand, to her bag. “But, I’m not in love with him.”
