Love Looses
Park Jimin knew things were going to shit the minute the first outburst was over. He was curled in on himself in the bathroom, breathing away the frustration and pent up anger. He hadn't meant to, not really. It was just . . . how couldn't you when your relationship was literally going to be the death of you and your partner?
It was a few weeks after Yoongi and Jimin had announced they were an official couple. They'd waited a respectful year, thinking that if they let their feelings develop and come out genuine and real that the fans would take them seriously. They'd assumed ARMYs, the fans that loved them so much would be accepting and kind.
What wishful thinking that was.
They had been met with hate from not only their fans but from the companies sponsoring them. Concert venues refused to have them play. A fashion line cut their contract, denying they ever designed for the 'homo kpop group'. It had taken Seokjin and Bang PD-nim nearly a week to get Jimin and Yoongi to show their faces. They had hid in their rooms, from their members, their manager, and the world.
Their social media was flooded with threats and hate comments. People unsubscribed and unfollowed. BTS was slowly falling because of a relationship. A 'forbidden' relationship.
Jimin wanted to say the supportive fans outshined the negative ones. But they just didn't. Of course, there were people overjoyed that the two had 'finally' come out. They claimed, 'we knew it all along!' That was mostly international fans. The Korean fans were more threatening.
The first incident had happened at one of their fan meetings in Incheon. It was a couple days after they'd come out. They were answering questions on the stage when three or four fans in the front row started viciously throwing their shoes at poor Jimin. They shouted evil slurs and curses, most wishing to see the 'fags' in hell. Jimin had cowered on the ground with his hands over his head before the other fans and security guards had stopped them.
A few days later in Seoul, Yoongi was attacked in the boys bathroom of their concert venue. The word 'FAG' was spray-painted on the mirror and two guys had cornered him and burned his hands under the hot water.
They had halted their tour. They had canceled their fan signings. Jimin and Yoongi, instead of getting through this together locked themselves in opposite rooms, only coming out for meals. Which Jimin would later throw up. They'd both come out occasionally for dance practice. When after, Yoongi would cut long lines along his stomach.
The two were destroyed because of love. Because of love. What a stupid thing to wreak a person.
It had happened when Seokjin had forced them to talk. They ended up fighting and initially, breaking up. Jimin said it was for the greater good. That he couldn't take how this torture. How this relationship was killing them.
Jimin tweeted later that day.
@BTS_twt:
Thanks to the response from ARMYs all around the world, we've granted your wishes. Yoongi and I are no longer together. Happy? #JIMIN
The fans reacted immediately, many saying 'finally' and 'thank god it's over!' a lot of them were actually international fans asking for translations.
Then the first translation got posted.
Then his twitter was bombarded with international fans. Jimin's eyes widened at their responses;
@sunshinehobi
