SKYE
Before I could even get the word 'no' out, I was spoken for.
"She's not going with you." Carl shook his head, looking between me and Abraham with a stern look on his face. Abraham tried to speak, but now, Rick cut him off as well.
"No. That's not happening. You aren't taking Skye, Glenn, or Maggie." Rick sighed.. "You aren't taking the bus either."
Abraham shrugged insolently and turned with a sharp wave of his hand. "Suit yourself. Rosita get your gear. Eugene let's go." He ordered. Rosita followed him, not looking like she was in favor of Abraham's decision, but Eugene didn't budge from his spot huddled behind the pew.
"No." Eugene whimpered.
Abraham looked bewildered. "What did you say?"
Eugene swallowed harshly and looked as scared as a child would be. "N-no. I don't want to go."
"I said get your stuff now!" Abraham barked, his voice making me jump slightly. Eugene gave in and grabbed his backpack and found hisself besides Abraham instantly.
Wimp.
"You aren't taking that bus." Rick called after Abe with a low voice.
"Oh yeah?" Abraham mocked while leading his two out. "Try and stop us!"
As the three walked out of the church, I bit my lip in frustration and racked my brain for ways to convince them to stay.
I mean, I could go, but why did they want me in the first place? I didn't understand why Abraham wanted me to tag along. I was weak to him, and he hated my guts, so it seemed unnecessary.
I was broken out of my thoughts when, unfortunately, Glenn spoke up. "Abraham wait."
The large man turned around and perked his eyebrow.
Glenn sighed and gave in to Abraham's demands. "Maggie and I will go with you. Just stay. Stay and help us fight, then we'll go."
Abraham nodded, and the church fell silent for a moment before he looked at me. "What about Skye? I asked for her."
Rick rubbed his hand over his face exhaustedly. "No. Abraham-"
"Why do you even need me to come?" I asked with a venom laced in my voice. "I hardly know you." My eyes glared daggers at the man and it took all I had from now lashing out at him with an unquenchable anger.
He was taking Maggie and Glenn. I was furious, but what made it worse is that he also wanted me.
The red headed man shrugged. "I need another fighter, and I want a youngin that knows how to handle herself if things get ugly. If she aint coming, the deal's off."
Then, Rick and the group started arguing with Abraham, their voices seeming to hover and conquer over my quiet, strained thoughts. I didn't want to go; heck, I didn't want to leave the group. Being separated from Rick, Carl, and Michonne would kill me, but I knew deep down that I might have to make the sacrifice in order for us to defeat Gareth. We needed Abraham and Rosita to help; and even though without them we were strong, we'd be much stronger with them.
I despised what I was going to decide, but I would do it in order to provide for the group. For Carl and Judith.
"I'll go with you." I said. The arguing continued in the air and my voice fell like a wounded soldier. I repeated myself, "I'll go with you." I was a bit louder, and of course, Carl heard me. He gave me a look of horror, blue eyes shining with a emotions of helplessness and disbelief, but I doggedly ignored him and said the phrase one more time so the whole church would listen.
