dan couldn't remember ever being this sad in his current memory span.
the monarchs were upset when louise left, because they were hoping she and phil would become a couple. but now they were back on dan's case about how he can, under no circumstances, fall in love with phil.
it was irritating him to the point where he wanted to saw his own face off.
meanwhile, phil himself hadn't been doing so well either.
every time he looked at his boss, he grew angry, and every time he and his boss would speak, it was about dan.
"hey, how's your friend doing?"
"tell your friend the recent pictures are FABULOUS."
"hey, your friend still like his job?"
"don't forget to tell your friend that we're always hiring!"
it made phil sick. actually, it made phil want to quit.
but he loved his profession, and he made good pay.
if only his boss would get off his back.
