it took dan around a week to get used to living as a human. he was constantly complaining about how bright everything was, how he hated people in shops talking to him, and how things hurt.
"ow! what was that?"
"dan, that's a cactus."
"why did it make my hand feel like that?"
"cacti hurt, dan."
"i dont like the feeling of hurt."
but phil found it funny whenever dan tried to fly and it only resulted in a small hop, or when he thought he turned intangible and ended up slamming into doors. it made phil laugh, and it was the only reason dan let phil get away with the teasing.
dan did, however, find a few aspects of human life that he liked. he adored sleep, for starters, and the feelings of spooning and cuddling with phil were the best he could ever imagine.
