Chapter 16: Temptations

Sitting on the king-sized bed, Sy looked at Jin intensely and asked, "So, how are things with you and Jax?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Like... how's your relationship with him?"

"Great. He's my best friend."

"No... no. I mean, romantically."

Jin fell back, surprised. "Oh..." She thought for a moment, not really knowing what to say. "I don't know... "

"You don't know?" Suddenly, a lightbulb lit the room inside of Sy's head. "Well... Jax's been thinking about you a lot."

"H-He has? How do you know?"

"I'm a cupid, silly! Of course I know! The thing is, do you think about him a lot?"

"I-I guess? I mean, I do live with him..."

Sy sighed, knowing how hard this will be. "Then think about this. If Jaxon were to, say... get a girlfriend, or a boyfriend, how would you feel?"

"I'd kill them. I mean, what? I didn't mean that," Jin said, surprised at her response.

Sy leaned back on the bed, satisfied by her answer. It was progress, she realized. Now... time for the talk.

"Jin, you're interested in the talk, right?" Sy made sure.

"Yeah. It sounds interesting, and I don't want to be left out. It seems like all of the adults know already."

"Okay," Sy took a deep breath, "Well, when a gender likes another gender, there are different ways to show their affection. This could range from giving each other flowers to... sex."

"Oh. Okay?"

"Are you like... not shocked at all??"

"Haha, I know what sex is. Is the talk, sex?"

"Pretty much, yeah."

"Well, here's all I know. Sex means you can get preggos, so you gotta use a condom. The seaman goes into the thingy so wowza."

"Yes. The semen goes into the woman, where it makes its journey down to the, uh, the place where the eggs are stored, where it will fertilize with one of them. This makes the fetus, and this fetus will eventually turn into a baby," Sy added firmly.

" 'Kay."

"Do you know what STD's are?"

"I've heard about them, but not really."

"Well, they stand for Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and they are transmitted through, well, sex."

"Oh."

"But to prevent this, you should always test your partners for them. If they don't want to, are they really worth all the pain and stress of an STD?"

"Test my partners? Does Mr. Gay test Kaz?"

"M-Most likely, yes? He better be."

"I see... Hypothetically speaking, if I were to date a certain someone, I'd have to test them?"

"Yes, unless they haven't had any previous partners."

"So... A virgin?" Jin simplified.

"Exactly! For example, Jax. Or at least, I'm pretty sure. He just has that virgin smell to him, y'know?"

"He has these weird yaoi mangas in his room. I think he's just knowledgeable, though."

"He probably has those mangas to relieve his sexual frustration."
