Classes passed and it was finally recess, I walk out of my English room and run into a guy who had black spiky hair and was rather tall.
"Oh, sorry. Wait, your the new girl right?" He had a light voice.
"Yeah." I say.
"I'm, Dylan. I was sitting at the table this morning." He holds out his hand.
I take it and shake it "Coraline. How come I didn't notice you."
"I was talking to my mate Conner." He points to another ginger. He was alright looking but not like Declan or Archer or Aiden. Conner had the boyish charm style.
"Awh, yeah." I laugh, not really interested in what he had to say.
"Walk you to the table?" He asked politely.
"Sure." I nod softy and follow him.
We finally get to the table and I sit near Dylan and Declan. Declan glanced at Dylan and made a confused facial expression.
Before I could say a thing Declan grabs my arm and lifts me up "hey Coraline, come with me. I was meaning to show you the school this morning but ran out of time. Want to do it now?"
Something was up but I followed anyway. "Sure." I say slowly.
We get up and leave, as we leave Declan nods in the direction me and him we're heading, Archer and Aiden followed.
"What's going on?" I knew something was up.
"Were helping you avoid the wrong crowd. Believe me, we may may hang with them but their bad news." Declan let's go of my arm and avoids eye contact.
"Yeah, think of it as a favour." Archer walks along side me and Archer along side Declan.
"Why? What's so bad about them?"
"Their faggots?" Archer laughs, Declan and Aiden laugh along with him.
"But..." I was cut off.
"No buts."
"Fine." I walk along them.
"Hey Coraline. You never answered that question."
"What question?" I knew exactly what question but I avoid it.
"Where did you come from?" Archer says.
"My mums vagina?" I say sarcastically.
"No, you know what we mean Coraline." Declan cuts in.
I didn't want to tell them, this is the first time I've been to school for the first time in 4-5 years. That would be so bad.
"What's the problem?" Aiden pushes those thoughts aside and brings me back to reality.
"I don't have one." Of course I did. I didn't want to become the new girl freak who hasn't been at school most her life. To be honest, I don't even know how I got into this school or to my final year.
Things never got easier after the scaring events almost 9 years ago. I never recovered from it but I avoid talking about it and bringing up those feelings again so why can't a shake of this feeling?
A slight nudge on my shoulder brings me back. Why is this happing a lot today?
I was sitting in science with River next to me.
"Yo girl, you alright?" He whispers.
I rub my eyes "yeah, fine." I give him a big smile.
Get your shit together Coraline! Nobody likes a downer!
