I wake the next day, the house empty as usual. I get dressed into my ugly blue uniform and tie my hair to the side.
"Let's do this."
I park in the same spot as yesterday, but I see someone standing in my parking spot.
The boy from yesterday who ditched an apple at me was waiting for me.
He sees me coming and moves so I can park.
"Hey, I never told you where we hung out." He smiles as I step out of my car.
"I forgot to get that from you." I lie. I had no intention in bringing myself to those boys.
"Let's go then." He smiles and gestures to leave.
I follow and hope for the best.
"My name is Declan, why the way." He smiles and looks down on me.
"Coraline." I return the gesture.
"Where did you move from?"
"Queensland." I keep my responses nice and short.
"Not a talker are you?" He laughs.
"Not really, I just like keeping to myself." Why did I say that?
"Well I think you'll like the gang, their not that bad once you know them and grow comfortable around them." He speaks with such confidence, I couldn't understand why.
"I hope so." Like I said no I tensions so just gonna meet and run most likely.
"Yeah."
We enter the building and walk to where I was yesterday when I got an apple ditched at me. It was the same as yesterday, they were jumping around and talking and also throwing stuff.
"Yo! Guys!" Declan yells above them all. They turn sharply and pay attention " this is Coraline, ya know? The girl that got covered in apple yesterday?"
They all nod and laugh as they remember yesterday. I simply sigh and roll my eyes.
The girl with red hair and a pale skin tone from yesterday steps up.
"Hey, I'm Maya." She holds out her hand and I take it. She drags me away from Declan and to the table covered in....who knows what.
I sit next to her while I surround myself around all sorts of guys. By what I could tell there was only one other girl besides me and Maya.
"What the fuck?" The two guys from yesterday walk up to the table and laugh.
"Aiden! Archer! Have you met Coraline?" She laughs and puts her arm around me.
"Yeah we have a few classes together. Although I doubt she notices, she was so dazed yesterday." He laughs.
A boy with shaggy sandy blonde hair comes up and sits by me. I thought he looked like the type Id laugh with and
He looks confused and points at me "who's this?"
I hold out my hand for a handshake "I'm Coraline, and you?"
He laughs and shakes my hand with a firm grip "the names River." He has a sarcastic tone and cheeky grin.
"I love that name." I had a sudden spark of enthusiasm.
"So where ya from?" He laughs.
"Area 51." I laugh.
"I so believe that the place is real!" He laughs along with me.
"I think so too, I mean it has to be!"
"Also the supernatural, like ghosts and ghouls. Also most definitely werewolves." River was totally geeking out.
I geeked along with him until the bell rang then I wondered my time table for where I got go to. I had math first, I hate math.
"What you got and with who?" Declan comes up from behind me and scares me.
"Shit!" I catch my breathe and laugh.
"Oh my bad Coraline." Declan laughs in my ear.
"Yea your bad, fuck." I finally learn to breathe and look at my timetable, "I have math with mrs dhillion? I think that's how you say it." I laugh and show him my timetable.
"Yeah your right. Your with me and Archer." He takes my hand and drags me to Archer, the boy with the glasses.
"Hey." Archer turns away from....Adrian?
"She's in with us." Declan hits his shoulder.
"Real?" He laughs and turns to me "bruh, this is gonna be fun."
"What?" Adrian? Says.
I point at him "Adrian right?"
He smiles and does a glance down then at me "no, close though but no. Aiden." He holds out his hand.
I take it and shake it with my famous firm grip.
"You?" He nods to me.
"Coraline."
I head to math with Declan and Archer. I felt a sense of power over me, like nothing could bring me down. Like bitterness has been replaced with sweet.
I walk with the two rather tall, rather handsome boys. They were so nice to me even though I'm new. They were so kind.
I sit in class, the teacher nowhere to be seen. I sat next to Declan and Archer sat behind us both.
"Where is she?" Declan hit the table in frustration.
"Since when did you like math?" Archer laughed.
"I'm good at it. I don't like it but I'm good at it."
"And I'm good at eating while fuckin." A sarcastic tone drips from his words.
"That would be a good skill, can you imagine?" Declan points to me.
"It would be rather handy." I smile at Declan, thinking of the possibilities.
"Wait wait wait! You never told us where you were from." Archer had to say that.
"Yeah.... Coraline?"
I didn't want to tell them. I would've been rejected I know it.
"Ummm.. well..." before I could think of an excuse or a place the door opens and the teacher walks in.
"Ok class, sorry I'm late but let's get started shall we?" She places her stuff on her desk.
I release a small sigh of relief, thank fuck for that.
