"What's the use of a shattered heart without it's mender?"
Alice pondered this as she licked her strawberry ice cream, and looked up strait at the hot summer sky. Her mother would be expecting her in the house soon, to do her daily lessons, as a matter of fact she should be learning about posture right now. With terrible Miss. Perigee who allowed absolutely no rocking on heals, no day dreaming, and absolutely positively no sweets! What a cruel monster she was to not allow Alice to have her ice cream it was her absolute favorite though it would drip on her new dress that her Mom bought her she didn't care one bit. It was still absolutely worth it, each cold and shouting lick, especially on a hot summer's day like this. Alice knew that any second down she would feal the pounding monstrous feat of Miss. Perigee against the hard soft ground any second now, but she didn't care she could run far faster than she could with those enormous feat of hers. They where no match of the speedy quickness she gained from running with gardener boys.
For now she would just chill out and savor her ice cream. She waved to the ghostly boy dressed in black as he passed by vanishing into the air, it was a curious oddity that boy. He would always be around the grounds of the place going here and there, just lost maybe broken perhaps. Though she asked once before who he was, her Mother had given her a good scolding about not allowing spirits drive you into madness or something. She knew her mother learned it from something called Hamlet since she adored the story... Still she did not care, the boy seemed lost and human like everyone else. His eyes that would stare up in the sky as though he where searching for a sign from the heavens, the lost quiver of his breath. Though it was strange that he kept on muttering strange riddles under his breath and tying his hands into mangled knots. She just assumed it was because he was nervous or extremely stressed about something and was trying to figure out a way to fix it.
*THUMP THUMP THUMP*
The angels from heaven started weeping, it was Miss. Perigee and her strangely high pitch scolding voice for such a strangely large body. Alice's face was weeping of ice cream as she squirmed to get her last and final licks of ice cream she'll ever have in her life.
"ALICE! You have not finished your letter to his majesty like you promised!" she screeched almost breaking Alice's ear drums, "All you did is draw an absurd drawing of a grinning cat asking if he could stop banning tuna ice cream!"
Alice snickered while still trying to stuff her last bite of ice cream. Of course she had to write to the stupid King when her family has expectations of nobility, but she couldn't help but his snarky now-it-all face. Alice I'm the King now so now you must do as I say, he would constantly say or judge her art work saying that his is better since he has top notch art lessons from already dead artists. He can hardly even draw anything without making it look like some sort of undefinable blob. She dreaded each and every play date they held together, and hoped to one day punch his snarky freckled face one day.
*THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP!*
She was drawing near, Alice licked her lips and the corners of her mouth before swiping it off with her hand. Turning to her with a small gentle smile.
"Sorry Miss Perigee I forgotten that his Majesty dislikes cats," she grinned, I totally knew, "I will make a him a proper letter for him tonight."
"Very good then," her voice strangely calming this was the first time Alice was actually getting away with one ice cream cone perfect, "Let's go to your posture lesson then"
"Very well then, lead the way," smiled Alice though deep inside she had to hold in a dreadful gag. She hated these lessons, not that it was boring or anything. It was just painful, balancing books on your head always gives her a head ache, and Miss Perigee's scolding does not help very much either. With each high pitch shriek, and shaky knee she hated this more than anything. It feels like it's taking a million years, when it's simply just a ten minute lesson. The last lesson of the day.
