You're Not Who I Thought You Were: Jai Brooks fanfic

Chapter 3

I arrived at home within a few minutes and greeted my grandmother with a small peck on her cheek. She gave me a hug in return and asked me about my day.

My grandmother was the type of person I can tell anything to. She would give me great advice and would keep any secret I told her.

I told her about Jai and Luke.

"Well they seem like nice boys." My grandmother said.

"They are! Luke is really funny and sweet. And Jai...well he's..." I stopped and thought about Jai and his toned body and his kindness and all the good things about about him.

I could help but let out a big smile.

"Seems to me that you like this Jai kid. Am I wrong?" My grandmother interrupted my thoughts.

"Well that's the thing. I don't know if I like him. I just met him today and even though he's nice and all, I had this feeling there was another side to him." I spoke.

"Oh, I see. Well you should get to know him a lot more before you consider anything. That gut feeling might be a sign to stay away from him. People are not always who they seem to be. Plus, your a beautiful girl and I wouldn't be surprised if a boy like Jai would try to go for you."

I smiled at what my grandmother said and thanked her and then went up to my room. I laid on my bed and thought about the whole Jai situation.

Do I like him? Does he maybe like me back? No I can't like him yet. There's something about him that kind of scares me. With all the tattoos and the way he stares. It's hot. No Bianca stop! He could be trouble. Maybe h-

My phone suddenly vibrated, causing me to lose thought. I checked and saw it was a message from Jai.

Jai:

Hey thanks again for the tour..you're really sweet...and beautiful.

Wow.

I reread the message over and over again to make sure I wasn't just imagining. I couldn't help but smile and replied.

Bianca:

No problem and omg thank you! :) you're not to bad looking yourself ;)

I sent the message but was wondering if sending a winkey face was a good idea. I didn't want him to think I was a weirdo.

Within a few seconds he replied.

Jai:

thanks! I can tell because you seemed to not be able to take your eyes off of me today ;)

I read the message and didn't know what to think.

What the hell. I know that was true but still, that makes me seem...I don't know. Ughh he's so hot. Damn it! Stop Bianca!

I replied back to Jai and then sent Olivia a text, explaining everything that was happening. She said that I probably would end up liking him eventually, but for now to just calm down and wait.

That's a good idea. I just need to relax and straighten everything out.

"Bianca! Dinner!" I heard my grandmother call.

I headed downstairs, made my food and headed back up to my room, as usual. My grandmother and I hardly ever ate at the table together. She ate in the living room and I ate in my room. On different occasions we would sit at the table but what's the point. It's just me and her all the time.

I sat on my bed and clicked the t.v on and searched through the channels. Nothing good was on so I went on my phone to look through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the rest, but kept my t.v on as background noise. I ate my pasta quickly as I was starving and when I was done I just put the plate on my dresser.

I then recieved a text from the most umexpected person. Daniel.

Daniel is part of the Janoskians and its hard to believe he actually texted me. We never really talked in or outside of school.

Wait a minute...James, Daniel...Beau, Luke and Jai! That's where I've heard those names before! They are part of the Janoskians! No wonder their names sounded so familiar.

I opened Daniel's message wondering what the hell he wanted.

Daniel:

Ay! long time no talk Bianca...I know we haven't talked in like forever but I was wondering if I could talk to tomorrow like at lunch. just me and you...I need to tell you something important

What could be so important and why is he just now talking to me?

I replied back almost instantly. I was very curious to know what was so important.

Bianca:

Wow so know you talk to me after about...um idk...like a year ago! jk but I guess we could do that see you tomorrow in lunch Skip!

Skip was Daniel's nickname.

Daniel:

well sorry? but ok thanks! btw its about Jai.

My jaw dropped when I read his response. I got butterflies in my stomach when I read his name. Jai. It just had to be about Jai. I started to bite my lip which is what I always do when I'm nervous. Now I was even more curious to know what he had to tell me.

Again I texted Olivia and told her about what Daniel had told me.

Olivia:

so what do you think Daniel's gonna say about Jai?

Bianca:

I have no idea and I'm really nervous about it...you know how I things are already with Jai and the next thing I need is something else to keep me up all night I mean
