I was safe though. At least, I thought I was..and that was good enough. I did feel bad for getting mad at James like that. He was just trying to help. I honestly don't know what came over me. I should apologize. James was right...he was the only one there when all the drama happened. Those kinda of people are hard to find.
"I need to apologize to James." I said.
Jai gave me a "what the fuck are you talking about" look.
"Why? He's gone now. Isn't that what you wanted?" Jai asked.
"Well yeah, but I didn't mean to talk to him like that. I don't know what came over me and he deserves an apology after all he went through for me."
"He doesn't deserve shit. Just forget about him, okay. He's the reason you never do anything. Its like he's your father or something! He's always worrying over you and won't leave you alone. Isn't that annoying?"
"Umm I thought you two were like best friends. How can you say something like that about him? He worries because he cares about me, Jai. You got drunk and hurt me again after you said you would try to stop. But you won't...I know you won't."
"James made me! Look I'm sorry but its not like I can quit in a day! You need to chill and worry about yourself for a while. Like when you're getting a job and a that shit."
"Oh my gosh! I have yet to see you get off your lazy ass and do something."
"I helped you pack and bring all of your stuff here thank you very much."
"Wow cause that's was so much work! And for a whole day?! Congrats you finally accomplished something for a change." I sarcastically applauded.
"You could have gotten James to do it for you."
"James didn't even know I was moving in! He would have freaked! But I figured since you "loved" me you would help out."
"I do love you!" Jai slammed his fist against the table. I flinched back and all was quiet.
"I'm sick and tired of people saying I don't love you. I hate it when they say I'm just using you. I'm not! You mean everything to me Bianca! Why can't you realize that? Why can't anyone realize that?" Jai slumped down on the couch and buried his face into his hands. I walked over and sat next to him, putting my arm around his back.
"No, no I'm sorry! Don't listen to what they say. People tell me that too and I get mad but just don't let it get to you. You're my everything and I love you too."
Jai kept quiet and stayed still. He wasn't crying or anything but someth seemed wrong.
"Jai? Are you alright?" I asked.
Silence. He wouldn't answer. He wouldn't even take his hands off his face.
"Jai, say something! Anything!" I begged.
Still, Jai didn't say anything. He got up and went down the hallway and into Beau's room, shutting the door behind him. I went to the door and tried to open it but he locked it.
"Jai! What's wrong!? Open the door please!" I said while knocking.
Again, no answer. I heard him rustling around and it seem he was trying to find something. He stopped and there was silence for a while, then Jai came out of the room with a smile.
"What were you doing in there? Why were you ignoring me? Are you hiding something, Brooks?" I asked.
"Nah it alright! Just trying to find...one of my sweaters for you to wear. I thought it might be in Beau's room but it wasn't. Oh well right? I have plenty of others for you." Jai said.
