-the next morning-

as watched the sun come up, my eyes felt like they were burning and i felt so tired
i sat there playing with the edge of the blanket until i heard my door open making me look up
"oh you're awake"
"have been for a while" I mumble
"what?"
"nothing" i said giving her a cheeky smile
"okay.." She said uneasy
"i made breakfast" she added
I groaned "i think i'll pass"
"sam, you need to eat"
i ran my fingers through my hair, looking down
"can you please just try?"
i sighed nodding my head slowly
"them c'mon" she said heading down the stairs
i groan dragging myself out of bed, following her towards the kitchen table
she already had two plates served, i looked down at what i assumed was mine
the whole plate was served with eggs, bacon and toast
"is t-this m-mine?" I stuttered
"yup" she said popping the "p"
"eat up" she added
"i-i.. this is too much"
"sam, eat"
i sighed taking a seat, staring at my plate with no emotion whatsoever
"you know, i'm not that bad of a cook, it won't kill you" she said giving me a small chuckle
i took a deep breath grabbing a fork, beginning to poke at my eggs slowly
"you should try taking a bite" Gaga said while chewing
"you should try not talking with your mouth full"
"stop trying to change the subject" she said "I'm serious, that's bad manners, talking with your mouth full"
"eat" she said simply
i took a bite of eggs chewing slowly, taking a hard swallow
"see?" Gaga spoke up "it wasn't too hard"
"you have no idea" i said putting my fork down
Gaga frowned "thats not enough, eat more"
i groaned "please don't make me"
"just a little more"
i sighed
"here" Gaga said grabbing a bowl full of muffins
"eat one of these" she said setting the bowl in between us
I sigh reaching over to the bowl of muffin
as i reach over my sleeve slips down exposing my wrist, instantly i panic pulling my arm down
i look up at Gaga only to find her staring at me as if she was waiting for me to say something
i give a her nervous laugh before saying, "so uhm, lovely weather were having, don't you think?"
"you haven't been outside to know what the weather's like" she said raising an eyebrow
"uhm.. there's a weather app on my phone, duh"
"what phone? i have it" she said resting her chin on her hands, with her eyebrow still raised
"i.. uhm.. w-why dont i-i go outside and look for myself?" i said quickly scooting my chair back, darting towards the door
As soon as i open it i come face to face with the one and only, Taylor Kinney
He instantly looked at me confused "uh, who are you?"
"well hello to you to" i say smiling
"Taylor..." Gaga breaths nervously from behind me
Taylor looks at me then at Gaga
"can we talk alone, Stefani" He said smiling lightly
Gaga nodded as taylor walked up the stairs
"i'll be back darling" Gaga said kissing my forehead quickly, rushing up the stairs
i waited a couple of seconds before slowly going up the stairs, stopping at Gaga's door, pressing my ear against it
"What the hell Stefani? Who is she?"
"i was gonna tell you, but I forgot, everything is just going so crazy right now"
"tell me what?"
"I adopted her, Taylor"
"Adopted her? what the hell were you thinking Stef?"
"i was thinking that she needed a family and-"
"No you don't need a responsibility like this right now, You don't have the time and you know it"
"Taylor, she needs me and i need her"
"You need her? She's just some kid you don't even know, she's not even yours-"
"don't say that" Gaga interrupted
"why not Stef? It's the truth, she's only going to bring problems into your life"
"you don't know that Taylor, you don't know her! Maybe if you got to kn-"
"you don't know her Stef!" Taylor said raising his voice
"i know her enough"
"oh really? tell me something about her then"
I heard Gaga take a deep breath
"see? you don't know her, save yourself the trouble and get rid of her"
"No Taylor, i should get rid of you" Gaga said with her voice cracking
i heard Taylor huff before hearing his footsteps come closer to the door
I instantly took a few steps back
he opened the door coming face to face with me again
he gave me a sad smile before walking past me, down the stairs
once i heard the front door close i peaked inside Gaga's room to see her sitting at the edge of the bed, holding her hands against her face, basically sobbing
i bit my bottom lip holding back tears
'i did this.. I caused this..' i thought to myself
I'm ruining everything for her
i took a deep breath before pushing the door open and slowly walking in
"Gaga..?" i whispered
her head jerked up and she instantly started wiping her face "baby, are you okay?" she croaked out
"i think i should be asking you that"
"im okay, promise" she said trying to force a smile
"i know your lying" i said
"im sorry i caused this.." i added
Gaga stepped closer to me waving her hands frantically "no, no, you didnt do anything wrong baby, he's just.." she puased taking a deep breath, placing her hands on my shoulders "hes just.." she bit her bottom lip trying to come up with something
"it's okay, i heard everything, you dont need to lie" i sighed before continuing "you could send me back, you know"
her eyebrows furrowed "im not gonna-, why would you say that?"
"well.. you could have taylor back, you could have your life back"
"you are my life now sam"
"little dramatic there miss Gaga"
she slapped my shoulder "dont call me that, im not old"
"youre almost there" i said shrugging my shoulders
she laughed before slapping my shoulder again
"ow! quit slapping me" i whined
"you called me old" she defended
"you do know im a child, right? you're supposed to be an adult?"
"you should act like it" i mumble before smiling at her
Gaga rolled her eyes before sighing "you do know that our conversation isn't over right?"
"what conversation?" i asked playing dumb
"dont play dumb" she said
i sighed "well, whats there to talk about?"
"i dont want you feeling like this is your fault when its not"
"kinda is"
"it isnt sam"
"whatever you say"
"its not your fault at all, it's something that's between me and taylor"
"im the root of the problem, nothing would be wrong between you two if i hadnt come along"
"thats not true, this isn't your fault and this conversation is over" she said sternly
i put my hands up in defense "okay okay"
"now" she said taking a deep breath "lets watch some tv yeah?"
"sure thing"
we made popcorn and spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies together
