he looked at her face, so intricately made by the god above. she was beauty, the color in a room full of silhouettes. "el, I'm actually really tired. wanna go find a hotel?" she sat upright and smiled.
" same, I'm struggling to keep my eyes open. but the sky's awake. so I'm awake." he stood up and offered her his hand.
she took it, and an electric shooting star passed between them and as suddenly as it had been created, she let go, climbing to her feet, and the star vanished.
she dusted off her clothes and ran her hands through his hair. it was dirty honey blond and and silky as it glided between her fingers like a bird taking flight.
they walked together to her car and unison, slammed the doors shut. she stared the car and looked at him. "hey."
"hey? we already have met malady." he was confused, as she was a million piece puzzle and he only had half the pieces.
"you are so clueless. I'm saying hey to keep us both awake. stay with me jack." she said.
"I'm here." he replied.
they drove off into the night looking for a place to settle their hearts.
