chapter 12: forbidden memories

Croix's POV

I walked into the school that I was told Marinette was in. Obviously, she was there looking as hot as I remembered. But that was forbidden... Sadly. When the first incident happened, Master said that we never could tell Marinette or Adrien.

They think this is the first time they met. Well, in this like it is. But in the last 2000 years they met in every life. It was the first time that really mattered though because it kindled the roaring flame called love. It was strong enough to keep them coming back each time they died.

Death. Usually, it stands for the end of breathing. Of living. Of loving. But if a love is really, really, really strong it binds the souls for eternity until the lovers reach happiness beyond that of which is humanly possible. I've only seen it once, but that doesn't matter.

The bluenette ran behind me, blindly trusting an almost stranger. I can't let her down. I swore to protect her in every way. I would die for her, it'd be hard since I'm immortal but...

"Croix," I heard her small figure squeak, "where are we going?" She was now clutching her knees, shaking. Shit.

How far did we run? "I-i don't remember," looked around and didn't recognize anything.

Damn it! Then by chance I saw a flashing blue light. It was dim, but still there. I could also sense my "brother" , Nino running after us. He was also tracking us so we had to get to the Catacombs fast. Even if he tracked is he wouldn't be able to find us in its dark corridors.

I was sent to return all her lost memories from past lives. Technically it was forbidden to tell her, so I'm going to show her. She's going to find out. One way or another.
