chapter 25: inner battle part 2

Adriens pov

He flew on top of me. Repeatedly punched me in the face. I punched back and he barely flinched. Pain shot up from my hand. I think I broke my hand. I've been held captive until by Hawkmoth within my own head. He created an Akuma to mess with my head, making me, well the Akuma was in control, think that I've been sleeping with Lilia. Lilia was actually a really nice girl.

No, I can't get distracted right now. Not when this Akuma is trying to kill me.

I know me better than anyone. So, I should be able to loose him on the dream stage. (That's what I call it) I'm still in control of my body so I think of my past experiences. He seems to have fallen for my distraction for a minute. But then I couldn't find him. My own diversion worked too well. I took three steps backwards. My eyes flickering everywhere trying to find that pesky Akuma.  Out of nowhere specific, his laugh echoed through the dark room. I get his hands grab me from behind making me scream.

I fly around and see his face. It was dark with vengeance. He picked up his hand and it formed into a 6 inch blade. He looked from it to me and rolled his neck. Without notice he launched at me. His blade hand thing, came inches from my stomach. This was going to be a though fight.

Marinette's pov

Nino, Alya, Chloe, Nathaniel, and Croix all walked into the room.

"Right on time guys. This is the Akuma from inside me. She's harmless now." I said motioning towards her, " she is going to help us defeat her counter part. "

"Well Croix can put us in but not at once." Nino said.

Croix looked at me. Really long and hard. " No I can't, but Mari can."

He shocked all of us. Especially me. "What do you mean, me?"

"You are a very powerful witch. You moms side goes back until the beginning of witches and stuff. Your dad not as long but only 200 years after your mom's side. They all have stayed pure in breeding with other witches and sorcerers. If that doesn't make you the greatest witch in the world right now, you also have combined your magic with that of ladybugs magic." He explained. Maybe that's what I was feeling earlier.

It's all a little,far fetched. With witches and warlocks. It seemed like I was the subject on a fairy tale story. But that is not a worry for today.

I nodded and grabbed everyone's hand. "Imagine we are all inside Adreins head." I said. There was a fuzzy feeling starting at my toes working its way up. When I opened my eyes we were inside a similar scene as inside my head. But there was an eerie stillness. I felt that there was something wrong so I ran to the "looking glass". I saw the Akuma standing over Adrein with a blade that was covered in blood. "NO!!!!!!" I yelled.

The Akuma stood up and turned to us.  I could feel the anger boiling up inside of me. It burned at the insides of me to get let out. It started to get really hot. Or at least it felt like it.

"Calm down Mari," I heard Croix say in my hear. I calmed slightly but my hand still glowed blue.

"Listen you little-" I said but was cut of from his knife hand to my throat. I choked a little as my breath caught in my throat. tears came to my eyes as he pressed harder and a brad of blood ran down to my collar bone. My heart beat sped up and the magic in my hands flickered as I became overcome with sadness. Just as soon as the sadness came it got replaced with rage.

My body got really hot. Like maybe it was 100 degrees or more. My eyes got really dry so I closed them and I screamed as a burning sensation ran up my spine. I grabbed on to the Akuma and we both became engulfed in flames. Most of My clothes burned off.

I heard the akumas screams but that didn't stop me. I only got hotter and the red flames turned to white. The rest of my clothes burned off. Only when I heard him cough up foamy blood and his eye's burned put did I stop. As soon as the flames dissipated I looked at my friends and I blacked out.

Word count 763. Hey y'all. This book is like 3 chapters until it's end. I have it all figured out but I'm not sure on how many chapter I will need to complete my plot. And don't forget to read the last chapters A/n because it's going to have a surprise. I think you all will love it if you love these two books.
