*MiYoung's POV*

I laid in my bed and listened to HeeYoung cry. Mistress Lucy had beaten her badly. I was so livid that I could barely see. I wished for my powers so badly I cursed. What good was it being a witch if I was powerless? I still don't understand what happened to them but I wanted them back and I was determined to get them. That woman would pay. I rose from my bed and went to the wash room to splash cool water on my face. I had had enough of the bullshit life I was living. I am a princess it's time to reclaim my throne. I went into the dresser and pulled out the only personal possession i had of my mothers. It was a small leather bound book. She called it her witch's diary. I had found it on the floor the night she died and held onto it ever since. Only my eldest sister KyungMi knew I had it but I would show it to the other girls in the morning. HeeYoung needed to know the truth and I planned to tell her everything. I took the book and went into the kitchen quietly. I sat near the fireplace and pulled the book open. In all these years I'd held on to it but never opened it. I recognized the handwriting as my mother's instantly. She'd written her name on the first page. 'Han MiSo' I traced my finger over the letters and though back to one of my last memories of her. We were in the throne room and she was helping me to practice my powers a bit. She would throw either an apple or a stuffed animal in the area and I had to either freeze or blow them up upon her command. It was so much fun although i would get angry that every time mom threw up the stuffed panda JinHee would orb it away from me. Mom constantly had to stop me from blowing her up too. I smiled and laughed while a tear fell down my face. I missed my old life. Suddenly I heard a noise and closed the book. I stood up and held it to my chest. I ran into a corner and hid. "Who's there?" A voice said. "Come out~ your prince commands you~" he said. I peeked out to see a prince standing there. He smiled at me. "Your majesty~" I said with a deep bow. I started to rush out of the kitchen but he called for me. "Wait~" he said. I stopped in my tracks and turned back. "My prince?" I asked. "Come~, he said, Are you hungry?" I shook my head although my stomachs noises betrayed me. He went into an ice box and pulled out a pie that had been baked that day. He set it in the oven to warm a bit and smiled at me. "I came down here for this. Im sure you would like some." He said. I smiled at him softly. I sat down near but not directly next to him. "By the way, he said, if it's just you and me~ Just call me YiXing."

*KyungMi's POV*

I was rudely awakened by none other than Mistress Lucy. She grabbed me out of my bed and ripped off my night dress. I stood in the room naked and she clothed me with a much softer dress. She put slippers on my feet and put my hair into a bun. I yawned and she slapped me. "Wake up~!" She scolded. "You have been requested by his majesty. You must go to his bed."she said. "What?!?" I almost screamed. I looked to JinHee and HeeYoung who were fast asleep. Mistress Lucy grabbed the base of my neck and squeezed tightly. "You obey everything he says do you hear me?!No matter what he asks of you. You do it! With any luck he might even want to keep you. It will give me one less mouth to feed and maybe you'll be happy being his mistress." She said with a chuckle. The smile on her face made my stomach ill. She forced me to the door and knocked. The prince opened the door while shirtless. He smiled at Mistress Lucy and tipped her a few golden coins. He held the door open and she shoved me inside. I prayed to god that if he let me make it out of there unscathed I would tell HeeYoung the entire truth first thing in the morning. The prince closed the door and I couldn't help myself. I started to cry. I sobbed violently falling to the floor in a fit. Here I was a royal princess by birth right and I was about to be treated like a common prostitute. I cried for all the turmoil in our lives. I cried for our Kingdom that had fallen to the forces of far away land. I cried for my sister's HeeYoung and MiYoung who were too young to truly know our mothers love and most importantly I cried for my mother. "Shhh~" he said as he moved closer to me. He kneeled down and touched my shoulder. I shrugged away from him and shouted. "Don't touch me!" I yelled. He flinched and moved his hand away. "Fascinating~" he said with a smirk. "Fascinating?" I asked. "Earlier today you ran away from me and now you won't let me touch you. I've never had a woman react this way towards me before. It's fascinating~" he said. I must have lost my mind because what I did next could have had me killed. "You fool" I said through my teeth. I smacked him and pushed him on the ground standing over him triumphantly. "I am not a mere woman~ I am Kang KyungMi daughter of Queen Han MiSo and I am a princess!" I said. His eyes widened and I felt myself oozing with power. It felt good to declare my true identity. He stood up and looked at me intently. A smile rose on his face as he towered over me. He lifted my hand and brought it to his lips. "Forgive me my dear princess" he said dropping to one knee. I didn't know whether he believed me or not but it felt damned good to be called a princess again.

*HeeYoung's POV*

I woke and sat up in my bed. My head was hurting and I just wanted a glass of water. I decided to just drink from the wash bin afraid of being seen by Mistress Lucy again. I went back into the room and looked at my sisters. MiYoung and JinHee were fast asleep in their beds but KyungMi was gone. My heart started beating faster as i started to worry. Suddenly she entered the room. "What are you wearing?" I asked her. She looked down at herself and shrugged. She shook her head "don't ask" she said. I raised my eyebrow and looked back at her. "HeeYoung, she said, I have something to tell you~ as soon as the girls wake up." I was immediately worried. I sat on my bed nervously as I waited for the other girls to wake up. I began to get reckless. Soon I just woke them up myself. MiYoung opened her eyes warily but sat up straight when KyungMi said "it's time~" JinHee woke up next and they all looked at me. KyungMi began. "HeeYoung, she said, the simplest way to say this is that we lied to you." "Lied about what?" I asked. "Our mother was really a queen and the 4 of us were princesses." She said. I bursted out laughing. "What? Nice one Kymi" I said. "I'm serious~" she said. The look on all of their faces made me nervous. They all looked very serious. "Okay~ guys this isn't funny. You're starting to creep me out~" I said. KyungMi got up and went into the dresser. She dug out a small pouch "Our father gave this to our mother a while before he died. It was after you were a year old. She gave this to me the night she died." KyungMi said. It was an amulet that split into four pieces. She showed it to me. On the back of each piece was a name. I read them. "KyungMi...JinHee....MiYoung and....HeeYoung" tears pricked at my eyes as I read my own name. "How could you guys not tell me this?! You lied to me for years!!" I screamed. Tears streamed down my face and I started to get hot with anger.

*JinHee's POV*

KyungMi took the amulet back and split it into 4 pieces. She gave each of us our part and we put them on. All except for HeeYoung. She stared at us in absolute disgust. "HeeYoung?" I asked. She turned her face as if my words offended her. She took the necklace and put it on. "I'm angry with all of you~ I'm not sure If I can ever trust you again but I'm glad to know who I really am. Now there's something I have to do." HeeYoung said. She rushed out of the room. I look at my sisters who shared the same confused expression as I did. "What the hell~" I said.
