Chapter 23

*MiYoung's POV* 

I sat upstairs in the royal chambers as my chamber maids prepared the room. We talked idly as I waited for YiXing to come up to bed. He said he had to take care of some buisness. I admired how dedicated he was to ruling his kingdom. I was prepared to support him in anyway that I could. Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. My chamber maids all smiled at me. "Remember madam, one said as she gathered her things and headed out of the door, Think boy!" My eyes widened as they left and YiXing entered the room. I realized as I watched him undress himself that the entire Kingdom would be expecting me to produce an heir. Suddenly I felt very uncomfortable. I slipped out of bed and rushed for the door. "Where are you going?" YiXing asked. "Me, I said nervously, I'm going to get some water." "I will have some brought up for you." he said. "No, I protested, it's fine~ I can get it. I'm feeling a bit warm I could use the walk." "Okay" he said as he smiled at me and walked over to place a kiss on my forehead. I smiled. He always made me feel so much better. "I'll be right back" I said. 

I slipped out of the room and went down to the kitchen. I got some water and drank it slowly. "Good evening your majesty, a voice said, should'nt you be enjoying your husband?" I turned to see Agatha the Kitchen maid standing behind me. I laughed. She was a sweet old woman who had been working in the Palace ever since she was a girl and helped us when we first arrived at the Palace months ago. I hugged her and kissed her cheek. "Agatha, I said, Why don't you let me move you out of here. Please we have plenty of room upstairs let me give you a nice room. As a friend. You are a friend to the Queen after all." She smiled."Oh no your majesty, she said, I could not. I'm comfortable with my husband down here." "Agatha, I said sternly, You and your husband are moving upstairs first thing in the morning. I will not have you living down here any longer. That is an order." She smiled. "You are too kind your majesty." she said. "No, I said, It is you that has been kind to me." "Ahh M'lady I see that you are wearing Lady Lucinda's pin still." she said. 

"Lady Lucinda?,I asked, I thought that YiXing's mother's name was Raina." "Yes, YiXing and ZiTao's mother was Raina but that pin belonged to the first Queen before her." she said. "First Queen?" I asked. "Oh no, she said suddenly afraid, I have said too much. Please your majesty forgive me," "Said too much what?, I asked, Agatha please tell me." "I cannot, she said, the king will kill me." "Agatha you bite your tongue!,I said, My husband is a kind and gentle man he would never do such a thing." "Your majesty it is too dangerous~~" she pleased. "Agatha, I said, I give you my word. NO harm will come to you. Trust me as your Queen and as your dear friend." She nodded and began to speak. "YiXing's father married a woman 2 years before he married Lady Raina. It was a short marriage and spawned no male heir so no one talks about her any more." she said. "why did he divorce her?" I asked. "He found out that she was a witch, she whispered, YiXing descends from a long line of witch hunters. The king's father was devastated. He loved Lady Lucinda very much but he could not be married to a witch. He had to divorce her and send her and  their young daughter Sophia away." 

"What happened to them?" I asked with my mouth wide open. "M'lady, she said nervously, you know them both very well." "Sophia...., I wondered aloud, I don't know any Sophia... the only Sophia I know is..." I could barely speak and my hands shook. "L-L-Lady Sophia is YiXing's half sister?!" I questioned. She nodded. "And her mother... the first queen... Lady Lucinda is..... M-M-M-Mistress Lucy?!?!?!" She nodded again. "The truth is, she said, Lady Sophia was not brought here to be married off  to one of the princes as you were told. She was really brought here to say goodbye to her dying father." I dropped the glass I was holding and a shard cut my foot. "Oh your majesty!" she cried as she rushed for a rag to clean the mess. "Leave it, I said, Just go to bed." "But your majesty!" she cried. "Leave it!" I yelled. I took the rag and cleaned the mess myself. I couldnt believe what I had heard. I limped back up to my bedroom and saw YiXing laying in bed deep in thought. "What happened?" he asked with concern when he saw my foot. "I had an accident" I said as I got into bed. He chuckled. "My clumsy wife, he said, are you alright?" I nodded unable to speak. He took off my clothing and I didnt protest. My body was in shock and I didn't have the will to fight him away. I laid there are he made love to me for the first time. Unfortunately for my heart my body gave in before it could deter my actions. Little did I know the decison would be for better and for worse.

*JinHee's POV*

I woke up naked in ZiTao's bed. We had passionately made love and he was asleep. He snored blissfully beside me and I couldn't help but laugh. I got up to try and go to the bathroom and felt his arm pull me back. His eyes opened and he stared at me. "Where are you going?" he asked. "To the bathroom" I said. He smiled and kissed me. "Hurry back" he said as I climbed out of bed. I laughed and ran into the privy covering my private areas with my hands. "No need to hide there's nothing I haven't seen!" he called. I laughed from inside the privy. When I was finished I washed my hands and climbed back in bed. "Mmmm you know what, he said as he breathed heavilyand climbed on top of me , I don't think I'm finished with you yet."

*KyungMi's POV*

I found myself with JongDae again right after the wedding. We sat in his coach and I described the entire ceremony to him as her held me in his arms. "That sounds lovely" he said. "Yeah it was, I said, Mimi is so happy and I'm happy for her. YiXing is a great man.. they both deserve to be happy." "So do you~" he said as he kissed my forehead. "Yeah?, I asked with a smile, then who will make me happy?" He chuckled. "I will, he said, I will also make you an honest woman." I blinked at him a few times. "Really?" I said "Yes really, he said, I love you. I am going to introduce you to my parents. Tomorrow. I haven't even been home yet." "Yes!, I said, I can come tomorrow after the Parade. Wait for me here and I will go back with you." "Perfect." he said. We kissed goodbye and I got back into my carriage to go home. 

The next morning we all rose early and got dressed. The kingdom was throwing a welcome Parade for my sister MiYoung, the Queen. We got into the royal coach and rode throught the streets as people cheered and threw flowers. MiYoung even got out and greeted some of the people. The people of QingSha were so warm and welcoming to us. Someone even gave me a bouquet of roses. As we walked through the streets and greeted the people I watched my sister MiYoung. She was giving a hug to a little boy. I smiled at her and then looked up as something behind the boy that had caught my attention. My eyes widened and I rused over to her. A man was standing with his hand extended for her to shake it and locked eyes with him. I could not believe it. I knocked her hand out of the way before she could even look up to see who she was about to touch and grabbed his hand. My heart beat out of control as the words escaped my lips. "Oh my god~DAD!?!?!"
