Chapter 24

*JinHee's POV*

"Oh my god~~ DAD?!?" I heard my sister KyungMi say my head turned in confusion and I was shocked to see she was correct. Our father, who we presumed that was dead ever since I was 4. He had left our mother after having an affair with the woman who forced us into slavery as children. I couldn't believe my eyes. I rubbed them a few times and watched as KyungMi spoke to him. MiYoung stood there dumb founded. They convinced him to get into the carriage and ride back to the Palace with us. The mood was changed for the whole parade. We walked and smiled still but we wanted it to end so we could go back home and get some answers out of him. 

Our wish was granted a few hours later when we arrived at the palace. We all silently walked through the front doors and up the stairs into the Queens office. MiYoung didnt even know she had and office but she was greatful for a place to speak privatly. The four of us filed in and KyungMi shut the door behind us. No one said anything we all just stared at eachother. Soon our father broke the ice. "Wow you've all grown so much when I left you, you were little girls and now you're all beautiful grown women. I can't believe my daughter is married and a Queen at that. MiYoung smirked but still starred at him coldly. "Where were you ALL this time?" I asked unable to contain my curiosity any longer. "I was stuck on an island for a while and very ill. I was there for about a year before I could get back home and when I got back I saw that the Kingdom was in ruins and your mother was dead. I looked for you everywhere honestly but i could never find any news of what happened to the four orphaned princesses of Valhallia. Where is your sister anyway? I want to see her." "She's visiting with a friend, KyungMi said, I'm going to get her tonight." MiYoung and I both eyed KyungMi cautiously. "Alright~, our father said with a smile, I'm so happy I found you girls. When I found out that MiYoung was named Queen of QingSha I had to come see it for myself and sure enough it is my daughter." He reached out to touch her and she shyed away from him. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Yes?" MiYoung called. A page boy entered and bowed to us all. "My lady the King is looking for you." he said. MiYoung nodded then excused herself. KyungMi and I looked back towards our father. "Wow, he said, strange that a Kingdom ruled by witch hunters would crown a witch queen." "A WHAT?!?!" we both yelled.

*MiYoung's POV*

I walked down the hall and knocked on the door to YiXing's office. "come in" he called. I opened the door and walked into the room. "You wanted to see me?" I asked. He looked up from his desk. "Yes, he said, just wait for a second I want to finish signing these papers and then I want to talk to you. I blinked a few times and then waited. Soon he was finished and he stood up. He held my hand and led me up to our bedroom. "YiXing? Whats going on?" I asked. He closed the door and sighed heavily. "Sit down" he said. I began to get nervous. I sat on our bed and he knelt down in front of me with his head resting in my lap. "YiXing?" I asked. I was terrified of what he was going to say. He looked up at me with sorrow filled eyes."HeeYoung is dead" he said. I couldn't believe what he was saying. "NO~!, I cried as the tears came, There is no way it could happen. HOW?!?!!?" "Her body was found not far from the Palace. don't worry we will give her a proper burial. she is our family" I cried heavily. My baby sister was dead but I had my husband to rely on.

*KyungMi's POV*

JinHee and I talked to our father all day and tried to get answers out of him. Soon it was time for me to go and meet JongDae i excused myself and headed out to the carriage that was waiting for me in front of the Palace. 2 hours later we arrived at the border and I climbed out of the carriage and into JongDae's waiting coach. "Hey Jongdae, I said excitedly, how are you?" "Fine" he said dryly. My smile faded. "JongDae,I said, honey what's wrong?" He looked at me and his eyes were red and puffy. "Jongdae! what happened?!" I asked frantically. "KyungMi, he said, I need to tell you something. "What is it?" I asked. "Your sister HeeYoung...she's dead, and now so is my brother SeHun... he killed himself after they took her away." "WHAT?! WHO?! WHEN?! WHY?!" I asked all at once while sobbing. "They came the night of your sister MiYoung's wedding and took her away. I dont know where they took her or why." he said. "Who was it?" I asked. He got silent and looked away from me. "JongDae!! Tell me who it was!!!" I yelled. He stayed silent. "Damnit JongDae! TELL ME NOW" I shouted even louder. He cried even harder and muttered under his breath, "What? JongDae please dont hide it from me if you love me tell me what you know." I begged. He threw himself into my shoulder and sobbed so hard his body shook in terror. "A bunch of guards.... sent by... your brother-in-law YiXing"  My eyes widened and I screamed louder than i ever had ever in my life. I had to get back to the palace and tell my sister that she's sharing a bed with our sister's murderer.
