Chapter 6

*KyungMi's POV*

I stood in the throne room while our Lady entertained all 4 princes. I found myself watching the prince who had called me to his room about a month nights ago. Prince JongDae. He had called me to his room every night since then. At first I was disgusted by his arrogance but I found myself anticipating his calls. I would wait up at night already dressed for Mistress Lucy to fetch me. I enjoyed our late night talks. Although Mistress thought he was calling me to bed me, we'd really just been enjoying each other's company. I found myself actually liking him. I never really payed attention to men in my 22 years but JongDae was different. Last night I had fallen asleep in his bed and he wrapped the covers around me but didn't get in the bed himself. He told me the next morning that he didn't want me to feel uncomfortable and wouldn't get in bed with me unless I asked him to. The weird thing is I wouldn't mind it if he did as long as he kept his hands where they belonged. I looked over at him again and he winked at me from across the room I smirked at him. Mistress noticed this and i felt a lot of scolding coming my way soon. Either way It would all be worth it as long as he called for me every night.

*HeeYoung's POV*

I walked around in the halls. For a month, ever since the day I found out I was a princess I'd been looking for SeHun. I couldn't find him. I was starting to get discouraged when I caught a glimpse of him coming out of the library. "SeHun~!" I called out to him. He looked up and smiled at me. He started to walk up to me when another voice called out his name. His smile faded as a young woman came up behind him. "SeHun~, she said, darling where are you going?" His eyes looked as if he were about to cry as he stared at me. The young woman looked over at me and frowned. "Aren't you supposed to be cleaning someone's shit or something girl?" She said with a laugh. Sehun glared at her. "Do not speak to her that way~" he said. "Why not?, she asked him, she's a peasant and you are a prince and once we're married I will be a princess." Sehun looked at her with a disgusted face. "Just because my father says I have to marry you doesn't mean I will" he said over his shoulder as he walked away from her. "HeeYoung~" he said as he took me into his arms. "Oh my goodness~ Sehun I have to tell you something." I said. "Okay~,he said, come with me somewhere more quiet." He led me outside into the rose garden. "What did you want to tell me?" He asked as we arrived. I looked at him in the eyes. "I'm a princess" I said. He smirked at me. "Well not yet~ but If I can help it you will be" he said. He caressed the side of my face. I smiled at him enjoying the warm sun rays on my skin. "I'm serious" I said. I showed him my amulet. "My mother was Queen Han MiSo" I declared confidently. His eyes widened. "HeeYoung if this is true that means....." He said. "That means what?" I asked. Why did everyone know things about me I didn't? "HeeYoung, he whispered, that means you're a witch."

*JinHee's POV*

Mistress Lucy instructed me to go to the kitchen and help the kitchen staff as they were short handed. I figured that was her way of telling me to not be around for the day. I didn't care anyway. The kitchen staff had me taking food to some of our guests. One of the staff members gave me a large tray and told me to take it to the 3rd floor and the guard up there would show me where to go. I walked up the stairs and was heavily out of breath. The guard pointed me to a room and I knocked. Someone shouted for me to enter so I did. I stepped inside and felt dumbfounded. I set the tray down and bowed "your majesty" I said. He looked at me with the corners of his lips turned up ever so slightly. He looked me up and down and spoke. "Why are you barefoot?" He asked. I was embarrassed "we don't have any shoes~" I said. He raised an eyebrow and waved me away. I left the room and closed the door. I went back into the kitchen and worked for the rest of the night. When the day was over I was tired and hurried to bed. I plopped on my bed on my stomach and felt something sticking me. I rolled over and saw what it was. It was a pair of black shoes with a note inside one of the pairs. I took it out and read it. "Everyone deserves a pair of shoes. -Prince ZiTao"

*MiYoung's POV*

I was woken up by Mistress Lucy tugging me out of my bed. I sleepily smoothed my hair back and followed her directions. I was to go to Our Lady's room. I climbed the stairs and knocked on the door. I was shocked when it opened. It was Prince YiXing. His mouth dropped when he saw me. Tears flooded to my eyes as a wave of jealousy came over me. I picked my jaw up off the floor and bolted. I was a princess. I didn't have to deal with this.
