Enjoy the song...not quite related to the chapter.
Once we returned to the ground, Derek's team mates pulled him away and in no time he was in air.
They were enjoying and thanking their captain.
I took my chance and slipped away to the corner of the ground.
Some other girls were also there, so I didn't feel like a loner.
Thankfully. We were in the ground till one and then went to Mac D for lunch.
Melly and I took our food and sat on our regular place.
"He said sorry" I said, once we were settled.
"Who?" she asked and took a bite from her burger.
"Derek." I said
"What! When?" her pupils enlarged.
"After the match." I narrated her the entire incident.
"Did you guys kiss?" she asked eagerly.
"Common Melly. I don't even know him." I said.
"You should have just pulled him and enjoyed. There isn't anything wrong in being a desperate bitch for a moment, and especially when it is Derek." she giggled.
"Whatever" I said and rolled my eyeballs.
I thought "This girl finds fun in everything, no matter how serious the matter is"
Derek said sorry, I mean there must be a motive behind it.
Some kind of planning to let me down.
I didn't expect this, never in my wildest dreams. That day, I went home and relaxed.
The next day, I took a holiday and prepared for the exams.
I called Micheal to study with me.
I liked studying with him. Actually I think I have improved a lot after meeting him.
Our discussions helped me to remember things better.
Everything was productive. He showed at 10, just after I finished breakfast and went to my room.
"Becky, you have a visitor" my mom called me on his arrival. She was also on a leave as she had some important work which I didn't bother to ask.
She was rather surprised to see Micheal as never had I ever invited a 'guy' to my house.
I took him upstairs to my room.
"Nice room. Girly" he smiled.
What? Girly. Seriously. I thought I was a tomboy.
"My mom's choice." I replied.
We started studying and had lunch at one and then studied again. I informed Melly, not to disturb me on that day.
It was around seven o clock that we were finished and went out for a break.
Good thing my mom didn't stop me.
I thought she wouldn't let me go out with a guy. She was very protective towards me and always warned me to play safe with the other gender.
I guess that this could also be the reason, why I avoid guys.__________________________
Once when I was 15 and a guy proposed me, I lamely told this to my mom.
Now, I often wonder why?
Though I didn't like the guy but still, telling your mom was so stupid of me.
Anyways...
So she said one thing that I still remember
"Becky, you know why your dad and I are so happy? Because we didn't believe in this stuff called love, listened to our parents and happily married. And you see how much we love each other now. Love can happen even after marriage. Once I had a cousin, who was madly in love with a guy. But then one day, the guy left and she got mad. And now she is in an asylum, not knowing her family and even the guy whom she once loved. So be safe my dear and always listen to me, I will never think wrong for you."
It seemed like a speech to me but I always remember it.

"Off to where?" Micheal asked.
"How about that hill?" I asked pointing towards a small hill nearby. It was the only hill closest to our place. It was mainly for the purpose of sightseeing.
The entire city could be seen from there."Cool" he said and started driving.
Once we reached a specific point, he parked the car on one side and we got out and sat on the car's roof.
A cool breeze swept across my face.
"So how was your yesterday's performance?" he asked.
"Great. And I am not happy that you didn't come to see." I said making a sad face.
"I am sorry, had some work. When is the next match?" he asked.
"Tomorrow." The leagues was supposed to be finished before our exams.
"Okay then. I will be there" he smiled.
"Thanks. I feel like a great responsibility on being the head cheerleader." I said.
"Is it?"
"Yes, there are many expectations. And goals that you need to fulfil." I said.
"HMM..." He said thinking why was I telling him.
Then an idea struck my mind. Melly wanted me to date Derek and I also felt sorry for how inert Micheal was so I said.
"Hey Micheal, why don't you find a girl for yourself." I said.
"Do you think anyone will be ever interested in me? Everyone calls me 'THE NERD' you know what that means?" he said.
"What?" I asked without even thinking that I wasn't supposed to.
"It means that no girl will ever like me." he said.
"It's okay. I am sure that there will be that one person made for you. The one who will never leave your side." I smiled and said.
"All this happens in the virtual world. In real life, there isn't anything called LOVE." he said.
I wondered if he was right, his words somewhat matched with my mom's.
The only thing that could show me the path was destiny.
