As I was speaking, the line was cut. My heart started beating so fast! I quickly grabbed my T-shirt from my chair and wore it and rushed down stairs.
I could barely breathe.I rushed up to my mom and informed her. She was flabbergasted. I quickly bid her a goodbye and rushed into my car.
On the way I had informed Sajith and told him to come along with me and I couldn't inform Iyyappan's parents because they were on their pilligrimage trip to Tirupati.
So we roughly reached the hospital within 10 minutes. I couldn't even think straight.
My mind was just bombarded will all the ''Maybe's"that just killed me deep inside.
Sajith rushed to the reception and inquired the details.
Both of us rushed to meet the doctor. As he was in the emergency ward, he was being treated and we had to wait outside. I literally felt like my soul was leaving me.
My best friend, more like my Soul Brother was about to leave me. Just then without my realization a tear rolled down my cheek.
Saji tried consoling me but I just couldn't control my emotions. I just poured them all out. He hugged me really tight and caressed my back gently.
"Dei Ani, Dont worry DA! Iyyapps will be fine! He'll be with us till eternity machan...don't cry da!"
"How do you expect me to be chill Saji?"
"I understand Da. But nothing is in our Hands. All we can do is pray to God da. He'll take care of him da. Relax Ani. Just calm down."
I just clutched both my hands on my hair and cried my emotions out loud. It was getting late, it was about 1:15am.
I just stood there, blank, with my glassy eyes, staring at the door of the ICU ward.
Just then, I saw a female figure, tall and thin, drop dead gorgeous staring at me in utter shock...
