As me & Hakeem drove to Empire, I couldn't stop wondering about what dad wanted to talk to us about. Hakeem holds my hand & looks over at me as we stopped at a red light.
Hakeem: what's wrong?
Me: I'm just a little curious bout what dad wants to talk to us about & the fact he couldn't tell us over the phone
Hakeem: Well it must be important if he called us in Ang
It might be. You just never know what to expect from dad. He always got something up his sleeve. We pull up to Empire and walked in hand-in-hand. We say our 'hellos' to everyone and got on the elevator to dads office. This shit better be good.
Luscious: Ahh there's my 2 children *Smiling*
Me: Hey dad *sits on the couch right next Hakeem*
Hakeem: Ok we here...What you needed to talk to us about?
Mom walked in with her heels clacking
Cookie: Did you tell them yet?
Me:Tell us what?!
Hakeem: What are y'all talking about? *Looks between our parents*
Luscious: Look we were talking about the concert this weekend
Me: Ok and? *looks at him*
Where is he going with this? -____-
Cookie: And we thought that you 2 should come out to the public about your relationship *smiles*
My eyes widened as soon as she said that. I looked at Hakeem and he had the same facial expression as me
Hakeem: Are you serious, You want us to come out to the public?
Me: Isn't that a little risky? I mean Like do you want us to do this for the company or what
Luscious: No what I'm saying is...This would be good for you two. You wouldn't have to keep it a secret anymore
Cookie: And you both can show who you really are outside of Empire
Hakeem: *Shakes his Head*
Me: *worried* I don't know about this
Hakeem: Can you give us a minute mom & dad
Luscious & Cookie get up and leave. I turn to Hakeem
Me: Aren't you a little bit worried about what the people are going to think when we come out as a couple. Not only that but we're siblings *looks at Hakeem*
Hakeem: No I'm not *holds my hand* I don't give a damn about what anyone says about us...I love you and nothings going to change that
I look at Hakeem & sigh. Hakeem kisses me and hugs me. I know we going to have to do this sooner or later anyway.
Hakeem: And Tiana is performing with us anyway...So it might be a lot of damn easier
Me: *laughs* You're right
Hakeem: See *smiles* No worries
We hug and kiss. Maybe Hakeem's right. Everything will be ok. I need to talk to Tiana anyway. Not anything bad just a little girl talk
