We waited a week before we went to my old home town. the angels that they had possessed weren't part of their bloodline, so they weren't able to hold on for long. Once I heard of the retreat home, I told the boys immediately. I needed to say goodbye.
When I heard of the retreat, I felt relieved, but concerned. Naomi had a temper tantrum over all of it. I was eating out with Sam and Dean when it happened. Needless to say, I looked like I was going to puke, until I got to the bathroom.
The trip to see my family took forever. I was scared that there were still going to be angels, but Castiel had assured us that if there were any, they would be weak. He gave me his angel blade just incase. I knew that Sam, Dean, and Castiel had something else planned, but I couldn't figure it out.
"You ready? Sam asked me as we pulled into the grave yard. We knew that we couldn't stop in the town, so we drove straight to the cemetary. I sighed and looked out the window.
"I guess I have to be." I told them. I looked back at the flowers that Dean had gotten me for my parents. He thought of it right before we went into the town. Luckily, he was quick at finding where they were in the large supermarket. Castiel had told me that Dean had gone domestic for a year and that he had adapted really well to it. At least better than when Sam did.
I knew that I would have to be quick, unless we wanted to drag attention to myself. There were still people in the small town that would recognize me, even though I disappeared a long time ago. It wasn't hard to find where their graves were.
"We'll give you some privacy." Sam told me as we neared the graves. They spread out a little and looked at names of other people who had passed away. I looked at my shadow over my mom and dad's grave.
"Sorry I left. I wanted to tell you why, but I couldn't. There was no way that either of you would have been okay with it. I'm sorry that I didn't live up to expectations either. I'm still trying to, though. It'll happen one day." I said quietly to the headstones. The dates of their birth and death were on ehtere and it started to make me cry a little. I placed the flowers down.
"At least I didn't die." I whispered to them, like they could hear me. I walked down to my siblings. I looked at their names and I felt more tears come to my eyes.
They were just starting their lives. they all had so much ahead of them. Then there was a fifth headstone. I walked to it and Isaw that it was mine. They had already thought of me as dead. A tear dropped on the grass before me. I then dropped to my knees as I looked at it. There were words at the bottom of it.
"We'll see you at the gazebo in the sky." I looked to the sky to see that it was a clodless day, like the kind I love. They were up there and they knew that I wasn't dead. They must have known that I wasn't there with them.
"Hey, hey, hey." Sam said as he came to my side. He sounded like he had ran to me. I looked at him as his hands were on my shoulders.
"They thought that I was dead. Not that I was just gone. they thought that I actually died." I sobbed as I started to cry into his shirt. He wrapped his arms around me quickly as we sat there.
"Come on. We should go now." Sam said after I had calmed myself. He was right. I wiped my tears and looked around for Dean and Castiel.
"Where are they?" I asked Sam as I couldn't see them. Then we heard a gun shot. Sam and I both crouched a little in response. We then went in the sound of the gunshot. I looked to see that I had my gun out and Sam had his out too. I wasn't sure how, but it just happened, like breathing.
"Castiel, I wouldn't think that you would still be with these apes." I heard Rapheal say as we neared the impala. Dean was being held back by two angels while Castiel was bloodied and on the ground. He had his hands and knees on the ground.
