The Listener (Superntural)

Chapter 18

"Is it over?" I asked as I woke back up. Sam and Dean'd heads popped up and looked at me. I looked at my stomach as I sat up. They had pulled the knife out, but they left my stomach alone. I was glad that they did. That would have been bad if they didn't.

"Aurora, I'm so sorry." Dean started to say as I looked at him.

"Dean, it's okay that you Wolverined me. I should have known better. I was just trying to be nice and cover you up." I told him with a smile. He smiled and got up. Then he came to me and gave me a hug. It was a tight hug and I thought that he was going to cry.

"Why would you cover him up?" I heard Castiel ask me. Dean let go of me and I smiled at the angel.

"Because I knew that they grew up with out a mother and I decided that I was going to do something that she would have done. Also, he just looked cold." I told them all. I knew that me saying that, had struck a nerve. It was all true, though.

"Thanks, for that." Dean whispered to me. His green eyes were so bright. I smiled at him then I looked at Sam. He had walked over to me and he stood before me. I got off of the bed and I gave him a hug. He kissed my cheek and started to shake a little. It must have been scary for him, to think that I was dead.

"Sam, it's okay." I told him as I held him in my arms. This time, I was holding him. He smelled my my hair slowly. I looked at Dean and he was smiling.

We then decided to go back to sleep. I felt like Sam wasn't going to let me go for the night. It was all okay with me. Dean made sure that I saw that he was covered up. I thought that it was cute when he pulled the covers high in the air and they fell around him. He reminded me like a five year old in times like these.

"Demeter is usually really nice. Just make sure that you all keep your mouths closed. She isn't a fan of men, at the moment." I told the men as we neared her cabin. She lived in an open feild, but there were many different types of crops. I knew that she would be gardening around this time. She was a woman of habit.

We exited the car and I walked up to the wrap-around-porch. I could smell the fresh plants that were in the area. Dean seemed to be a little upset that there were bees around him. Castiel, seemed to be determined to find them. I knew that he would be fine as long as we could find him again. Castiel went his own way. Dean watched him as he left us.

"You can go with him, if you want." I told Dean as I looked back at them. He shook his head and we walked around to the back. I saw her sun hat bobbing among her vegetables.

"Demeter! It's Aurora!" I hollered from the porch. She turned and looked at me. I smiled at the goddess as she recognized me.

"Aurora! AaaH!" She screamed happily as she ran over to us. She had on dirtied jeans, a tank top, and her usual sun hat. It looked like she had more freckles and she was a bit tanner than I first saw her. Her dark brown hair was pulled to the side and the length of it made her look a bit older. She ran up to me and greeted me with a hug.

"It is so nice to see you again." She told me as he held me tight. When she let go, her demeanor changed. 

"Who are they?" She asked as her smile started to falter. I looked at the brothers and sighed.

"This is Sam and Dean. They have been keeping me safe for a while, now." I told her. She started to understand as she looked at the two of them.

"So what brings you here?" She asked me as she threw her gloves into a bin. The yard was a little messy, but there were plants and plant life everywhere.

"Why don't we go in and talk? I think that would be better." I told her. She nodded her head and led us to the door.

The inside didn't look any different than when I was last there. There were still potted plants all over the house. The windows seemed to get brighter as she walked in the room. I looked on the table to see that she still had her ambrosia out and there were many little plants that were starting to grow. She treated them like her little pets.
