The "Picnic" chapter seven

Betty's POV
I woke up on the ice cold floor of the shed Jughead had his arms and jacket around me to keep me warm I wanted to stay here forever, but I didn't want to be late for school, I looked at my watch 7:56 class starts at 8:15. I noticed Jughead was half awake.
"Good morning sleepy", he just smiled and kissed me.
"How are you doing, I know this can't be easy"
"Honestly, fine I just have to understand that my mom will forever be a bitch"
"Ok well I bet she still thinks you're in your room so I'll put the ladder up to your window".
"Thanks Juggie" I say as I kiss him he kisses back passionately, I pull away and smile.

I crawled though the window of my room, I turned around and smiled at Jughead, I guess I'll just touch up the makeup I already have on. I got dressed, I walked down stairs hoping my mom doesn't freak out. It was 8:01 and I needed fifteen minutes to walk to school so I just skipped breakfast I don't think my mom was awake yet so she didn't see me.
I made it to school with four minutes to spare, I saw Jughead sitting under a tree outside school, he had a laptop open he was probably working on his novel.
"Hey Juggie" I say sitting down next to him,
"Hey Betts, how'd it go with your mom"
"I think she was still sleeping she didn't see me"
"Well that's good, and hey I was wondering"
"Yes, Juggie"
"Well we haven't actually been on a real date, and um do you want to go have a picnic with me this evening".
"Of course I would" I laugh,
"Okay, meet me outside your house around 7:30"
"Sounds great" I kissed his cheek as the bell rang and I walked off to class.
--time skip--
I wore a floral dress with a white cardigan over it, I added a little eye liner to my makeup, I was really excited for me and Jughead's date. I checked my clock it was 6:27 I still had an hour until we were leaving I couldn't wait, I don't even know where we are going, I know it's a picnic so probably somewhere out side. I spent the next hour on instagram scrolling through my feed. I rarely posted on there I just liked seeing other people's photos. I checked the time it was 7:29. I rushed downstairs.
"Where are you going" my mom said behind me hands on her hips.
I lied,
"I'm just going to Pop's with Veronica"
"What did I tell you about hanging out with those people". I just ignored her and walked outside I saw Jughead standing on the side walk waiting for me I couldn't help but smile, he wasn't dressed that fancy I didn't mind though, just that he was here was enough. I walked over to him and pecked him on the cheek. He was holding a picnic basket.
"Where we going babe"
"Well I was thinking by the river, it's the only place we can get privacy"
"Ok I smile". We walk to the woods which wasn't that far from my house, when we got to the river side we laid down the blanket on a rock. We kinda forgot about the food. Jughead placed one hand on my face and started kissing me passionately his hand was on my thigh sliding up slowly like last night. I think I'm ready I think to my self, suddenly my phone starts ringing.
"Why must we always have interruptions during this moment" Jughead sighs,
"It's Veronica, I have to take this", Jughead sighs again I just laugh, I walk away answering the phone.
"Hey Ronnie, umm right now is not actually the best time, me and Jughead are kinda in the middle of something"
"Oh uh umm sorry to interrupt, but can we talk for a minute"
"Sure is everything okay" I ask worried.
"Well um not exactly today I saw my mom kiss Archie's dad"
"Oh god Ronnie I'm sorry, maybe it was just um I'm sorry I don't have any words".
"Uh it's ok I don't either well sorry to bother you I'll let you two get back at it".
"Ok" I laugh and hang up the phone.
I start walking back to the rock where me and Jughead where "picnicking".
Then I heard a gunshot.
