Dirty Motel Blankets chapter eight

--Betty's POV--

With out even thinking my eyes started watering as I ran to where Jughead and I were.
He wasn't there I started freaking out his hat was right where he was sitting. I fell to my knees and started crying, and it started raining. Maybe he was in the woods I thought, I ran into the woods screaming.
"JUG, JUG, JUGHEAD". the rain started pouring down on me. "JUGGIE JUGG-" I couldn't talk anymore my tears took over me. I felt someone's presence behind me.
I turned around it was Jughead. We hugged immediately. The rain was still pouring down on us.
"Betty we have to get out of here" I nod in agreement we quickly grabbed our things from the rock.

--time skip--
We arrive at Pop's soaking wet everyone is giving us a dirty look, we sit in a booth.
"Juggie what happened out there" I ask
"Well while you where talking to Ronnie I went to go pee in the woods, and I heard a gunshot, I went looking for you in the woods, I thought you were dead Betty" a few tears managed so slip out of his eyes
"I thought you where dead too juggie, I went back to the rock after I heard the gun shot and you weren't there an-" I cried into his shoulder.
--time skip-- (10:00)
Jughead and I decided to stay in a motel, I texted my mom and told her I was spending the night at Kevin's. Jughead and I were so focused on each other that we didn't even think about who fired that gun shot and who it was for, we told Sheriff Keller about the whole incident and he's working to figure out who might've fired the shot.
We both laid on top of the dirty motel blankets lost in our own thoughts.
"Betty can I tell you something"
"Yes of course Juggie", we both sit up
"I uh I love you Betty, and I know we've been dating less than a week but I am completely in love wi-" I cut him off kissing him passionately, he was kissing me back passionately.
"I love you too Juggie" I whispered in his ear.
