Here is a true story about a kid that went to our school. Just yesterday morning, he died. Here is his story. Put this story in your stories or on your social media because we want to see how far Dylan's story can go.

Dylan Whitley was a boy who was in fourth grade. Dylan was born with some disabilities, heart and lung problems.

About three weeks ago, Dylan was having some trouble breathing so he was sent to the hospital where they set him up with some air. The doctors found out Dylan needed a heart transplant. The problem was, there wasn't enough hearts and there was lots of other kids who needed a heart transplant. The medicine he was taking was damaging his other organs too.The doctors found out that if they gave Dylan a heart, maybe six months later, his lungs, or his kidney, or his liver might fail and he would die either way. The doctors decided that they were gonna use the hearts for other kids, who could only need a heart transplant and they would be healthy again.
Dylan died in the hospital. Everyone at school was devastated because this was the first student death.
The activities director started selling t-shirts that read "Dylan Strong". The money was originally supposed to go to Dylan in the hospital, but when he died, it became more of a dedication.
