"A glass of apple cider, please." The bartender nods and turns around to pour some into a big mug. He turns back around and places the glass in front of me.

"Would you like a shot of tequila with that? I'll keep it light for you, lassy," the Irish bartender asks. I nod, my head already swarming from the previous glass of alcohol I had and from the thought of Bellanora and Adrian. God knows what they're doing together. Alone.

Oh wait! I forgot! That Virgin Mary had never even touched a man, Yeah, I respected people who held onto their dignity, but Bellanora was on my bad side. I mean, who poisoned people on a regular basis? Who knows, she might as well be a murderer.

I grab the drink in front of me and take a big sip, letting the liquor tingle on my taste buds. A dark figure looms over me, before seating itself right beside me.

I look at him, momentarily mesmerised by his look. Dark hair and dark eyes contrasted against his golden tanned skin. Dressed in a black, v-neck t-shirt, he looked casual yet fierce and mysterious. He had a vibe that just lured you closer.

"Is staring your forté?" I shake my head and blink, realising that I had, indeed, been staring. His accent was slightly Australian, a great pairing with my British one. I gave him a sheepish smile and gulp down my cider with tequila.

"I like the skirt, Apple," He said with a wink. I look down, realising the skirt I had changed into after the engagement party was sitting above my knees. I pulled it down and narrowed my eyes.

"Did you just call me Apple?" I ask. He nods and raises a challenging eyebrow. His gaze skims over me and lands on a particular area of discomfort.

"Eyes up here, pretty boy." He looks at me, his face forming into a smile. See, this man was already too attractive, but as his face turned into a grin, my heart dropped out of my chest and onto the floor.

"Mill!" I turn my head to the right, shocked by the high pitched yodel. A young girl, who was presumably too young for this man in front of me, stumbled our way. I got up as she seated herself almost on top of me.

"I'll leave you two to... uh... catch up," I say, flashing the man a smile. He looks slightly baffled by the high schooler or whatever, but she immediately grabs his neck, kissing him.

"You know, I've figured out that you're here hosting yourself a pity party." I jerk as I hear the voice come from behind me, tickling my ear.

I wave away the feeling and turn around in my chair, meeting the man's eyes.

"And what exactly does that mean?" I inquire, looking at the person I had been talking to earlier.

"It means you're here because of boy issues," He states, sounding too sure of himself.

"Isn't everyone?" I ask.

"Er... no. I'm actually quite straight so I am not here because of some douche of a boy dumping me," the man jokes. I shake my head at his odd demeanour.

"I'm Miller, by the way," He says.

"Isn't Miller some kind of lawn? Like wouldn't people often say 'Oh I'm here! Just giving the lawn a little miller'?" I ask. He laughs and the sound fills my ears in an uncomfortable yet soothing manner.

"It's mow the lawn isn't it? People mow the lawn, not mill the lawn, right?" I ask lamely. I face palm. Gosh, I was so stupid sometimes.

"Yea, Apple. I never did catch your name by the way."

"That's because I didn't throw it your way," I retort. His eyebrows shoot up.

"You're not only tall, with extremely long legs, and an impeccably thin figure, but you also have a good sense of humor?" My face flushes a deep crimson and that only further provokes his smirk.

"Would you be so considerate as to honor me with a dance?" He asks, mock politely. I raise an eyebrow.

"Well yes, I would, kind sir," I reply. We both laugh and fall into step. It's not a slow dance obviously, since we are in a bar, but a dance nonetheless. Bodies of sweaty, dancing people swirl all around, but all I can see is him. As we danced, we made jokes and laughed alongside having some shots and drinks.

After a couple more songs, he takes my hand and leads me away from the dance floor.

"Wanna get out of here?" I slur. I'm clearly drunk and he chuckles, the low melodious sound filling my ears.

"I sure would, but you're drunk and probably doing things out of sheer curiosity. I have a sneaky suspicion this is your first time hooking up with a stranger," He says.

"No... In fact, I've been here many times and went home with random people, that was before Adrian started dating me. But when I saw him today all cozy with her, I snapped. I was sure I would be coming here to go home with a total stranger," I said, my sober mind returning for a moment. That is, before I tripped and landed disgracefully on my butt. He laughs and helps me up.

"I think it's a good idea if I take you home," He says. All I remember is getting in a taxi before everything blacks out.

I wake up as we come to a stop and I once again feel the liquor bubbling in my tummy. I had at least downed a dozen shots of tequila with water.

Miller grabs me by my upper arm gently and pulls me out of the taxi. I stumble out and lay my head on his shoulder since I'm too tall to reach his chest. We get inside the unfamiliar house and he shuts the door behind us.

"So the guest bedroom is ther-" I cut him off by pressing my lips against his. I'm going to have this one night stand today and that's final! I push him and I feel him fall backwards. Not breaking the kiss, I fall with him onto the plush sofa. I go to remove his shirt, but he stops me. He pulls away and looks at me,

"I... I can't!" He says. My eyebrows shoot up.

"W-What? I thought we," I break off and stare into his dark brown eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I know this isn't right. You're drunk and if we do anything stupid, you'll wake up tomorrow and regret it. It'll seem like I was using  you in your drunk state," He says.

"But I want this!" I whine, like a child. His eyes mist over and I see the solemn expression take over his face.

"Then it'll seem like you were using me."
