After talking and laughing for a while, we realised the bacon had burnt. So instead of eating it, we went to McDonald's drive thru. I basically ate all the hash brows in the entire store.I told him to drop me home later and when we arrived, he gave me a big, sweet, goodbye kiss on the cheek. I ended up calling Tyler to come over to hang out and watch a movie, just like we used to before he left. I'd met him yesterday after six years, but we had a connection that couldn't be broken even after this long.
Now, dressed in jean shorts and an oversized white jumper, I'm sitting on the sofa, waiting for him.
The bell rings and I get up excitedly to open the door. It reveals Tyler, whose dressed in a blue, v-neck and beige shorts below his knees. I smile and hug his torso before inviting him inside.
"Did you find the place easily?" I ask. He nods.
"Well, your house was the biggest mansion on the block, so yeah," He says, his voice as smooth as velvet. I was truly lucky to have a best friend like him. I lead him to the living room and seat him down on the couch next to me.
"Movie huh?" He asks. I smile and nod.
"I thought maybe Love and Other Drugs. It would be like a throwback, since I haven't watched it in forever."
"Sure!" He says happily as I turn the movie on.

It was now the ending, where Anne Hathaway's character was arguing with Jake's one. I had ended up crying and tears were still rolling onto my cheeks. Tyler and I had somehow ended up in a very comfortable position on the couch. He was lying down facing the HD T.V. and my back was pressed up against his chest.
We used to do this before too, but now that we were a little older, it was hard to ignore the fact we had... grown in various places. Nevertheless, he was still like a brother to me.
As the ending credits rolled down, Tyler and I lay with each other. The door of the living room burst open and I bobbed my head in surprise. I lived alone and I was sure I'd closed the door.
Recognizable dark eyes bore into mine. Miller looked between me and Tyler, and I quickly scrambled up from my current position.
"Back where I'm from, it's considered extremely rude to try and seduce a man while you still have a boyfriend," He deadpans.
"It's not what it seems!" I exclaim. Tyler puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Why are you explaining yourself to this guy?" He asks. I look at Miller and sighed.
"How did you even get in my house?" I asked, feeling a little unsafe
"Well I rang the doorbell three times, and nobody answered. I pushed the door open and it was unlocked," He explains. Tyler looks at me with curious eyes.
"I guess I'll just get going then. Thanks for the time. I had loads of fun," Tyler says with a curt nod. He leaves immediately after, leaving Miller and I with an uncomfortable air. I shuffle on my feet and clap my hands behind my back.
"So..." I drawl awkwardly.
"Your boyfriend looks like a real hotshot, eh?" He says, his Australian nationality coming off strong.
"Can you stop calling him my boyfriend!" I say, getting slightly irritated.
"Isn't he?" He asks.
"No, you idiot. He's just a friend. My best friend."
