VALERIE
"Kichi kichi koo!" I make random noises as I tickle Noah, her laughter filling the living room. She grabs my face with her little hands and smiles up at me.
"Again, again!" She giggles. Prim tackles me, grabbing my shoulders, "me too, mama!"
I chuckle, picking them both up, "okay-"
"Val, babe?"
I look towards the voice to see Eric smirking at us, amusement written all over his face. We look each other in the eyes, holding a slightly intense and playful gaze. My mouth opens to speak, but then it just stays there as we stare at each other. His lips curl up even more, an actual smile forming onto his face.
"Mommy~" Noah and Prim whine, shaking me. As I suck in a deep breath and look at them, I realize that, for a second there, I forgot to breathe.
"Ahem," I clear my throat and shake my head, "what's up, Eric?"
"We, um, have to go shopping..." His gaze shifted to the floor before it came back to me, "my mom is coming to watch the kids, remember?"
I nod, giving the girls a kiss on each of their cheeks before putting them down, "I have to go get ready, babies. Okay?"
They nod in unison.
With that, I'm on my way upstairs to grab my bag, keys, and put on some simple makeup. Grabbing the things I need from our room, I go into the bathroom to spice up my appearance.
My thoughts go to the way Eric was looking at me not too long ago, with those eyes, as I'm applying some last touches of blush and eye shadow to my face. It sends shivers down my spine, goosebumps all over my body.
"Focus, Val..." I whisper to myself, finishing my makeup.
Having four young, beautiful, brilliant children can... Change a couple's bedroom life, if you know what I mean. We still cuddle and kiss, spend plenty of time together. But, we don't get that intimate as often as we used to.
Though, to be fair, we were very active before.
Like four to six times a week active.
No wonder I already have four kids. I mean, how could I not get-
"Geez!" I squeal, surprised by large hands encompassing my waist. The sound of Eric humming is music to my ears. And the feel of his hands; a chorus that runs all over my skin.
"Hi..." he whispers, showering kisses on my neck.
"Hello...and...where are the...um, whose watching the...uh," I struggle to form a sentence because he's too damn distracting!
"With my mom. She's here-" he says, but looks surprised as I hold his lips closed with my fingers. I'm close to laughing at the expression that's plastered onto his face.
"Eric." I warn, looking at him in the mirror's reflection.
"Wham?" He murmurs, my fingers still clasping his mouth closed.
Spinning around to face him, I place a chaste kiss on his lips after letting them free.
"Later."
