VALERIE

"Mommy!" I woke up, startled by one of my kids calling me. Nosh ran into the room, screaming. He jumped into the bed and hid himself under the covers. "What is all the noise about?" Eric groaned, rubbing his eyes. He turned on his side and gave Nosh a double take. I don't think he knew he was under there. He looked at the 'lump' and then at me, "What is-"

"NOSH! YOU'RE DONE FOR!" Josh ran into the room screaming as well. He jumped onto the bed and tackled his brother.

"Boys, stop." I said, calmly. Josh attempted to get under the covers as well, but just ended up kicking his father in the face. "HEY!" Eric yelled, losing it. "Get out from under the covers, boys. Your dad looks upset." I said, amused. Eric still had dark circles under his eyes. When he was upset with the kids, I just found his expression funny.

The boys evolved from their hiding spot and stood facing us in front of the bed. "What happened?" I asked them. Nosh and Josh looked at each other and then at me.

"Mommy. He took my shirt!" Josh said. Nosh looked completely and utterly appaled, "It's not your shirt! It's MY shirt!" "I don't have time for this nonsense. I'm going for a jog." Eric said, not to anyone directly, and then walked to the bathroom.

"Look, you two. You have to stop fighting like this. It's normal to argue, but don't hit each other. Okay?" I told them. They looked at each other, and then at me. "Fine." They said, in unison. I smiled with satisfaction. I've done it again.

"I'm going shopping today at Wal-Mart. We can get you each some new shirts that are different so as to avoid this kind of problem from happening again. After that, if you guys behave, I'll take you to Dave & Buster's. How does-" "DAVE AND BUSTER'S!!" They both screamed.

"We'll behave!" Josh exclaimed. "We promise, mommy!" Nosh added with excitement. "Okay, good. Tell your sisters you all have to be ready in half an hour. Then we'll go. I have to get ready, too." I said, getting out of bed. They were already long gone to their sisters' room by the time I stood up. I just laughed to myself. Those kids made my day.

I'm trying to text Eric, but he's not responding. What kind of jog is he going on? "Okay, we're ready mommy!" Primrose exclaimed, coming to me in the garage with Noah beside her. Primrose was wearing a blue dress with green tights. Noah, on the other hand, was wearing red shorts and a striped shirt. It just so happened to look very familiar. "No-" "Noah." Josh started, cutting me off.

She looked at me as though she hadn't heard him. "I know you can hear me." He pressed on. "WHY ARE YOU WEARING MY SHIRT?!" He yelled. She put her arms up towards me and I picked her up.

"Mommy! She keeps taking my clothes!" Josh cried as we walked out to the car. I put Noah in her car seat and the rest of them sat in their usual spots: Prim and Noah in the middle and the twins at the back. I started the car and headed to where Eric runs.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Why do you let her wear my clothes?!" He whined. I don't know why he does this. Throws tantrums. "Noah likes your clothes, that's all. She looks up to her older brother. You should be proud." I told him and he huffed.

"Hey... That's my shirt she's wearing!" Nosh exclaimed and I let out a long, heaving sigh and decided to park for a bit. They started arguing about whose shirt it was. I was about to start yelling when I spotted Eric.

I started the car up again and drove up beside him, slowing down to keep at his pace. "I see you got tired... And new clothes." I said since I noticed he wasn't sweating or wearing the same clothes he left the house in.

He jumped when he heard my voice and I laughed. "Why do you find it funny when I get scared?" He asked as he got into the car. I shrugged and started it up again. "I just do."

It is now 2:48pm, so we've been at D & B's for about an hour. I would just sit down and watch them play. But they're young, so Eric and I are taking care of pairs.

"Okay, girls. Which game next? "
