Revenge and Turth Part 2

Taking a break under a tree from days of walking left great, but my rest was soon interrupted by one of Lao's summons. You see Lao is very much in touch with nature always has been from what he says.

"Ohhhh Ms. Natsuuuuumiiiiiiiiiii" the tree I am currently sitting under said in a sing song voice.

"Ugh I swear he sends you because you annoy me the most." I say while closing my eyes, and pinching the middle of my nose.

"Yes little Lao does he even asked me to make sure to annoy you extra this time around. You really have upset him this time."

"Yes well he will get over it, and he knows it's for the best."

The tree holds out a piece of paper with its branch. "This is really just all about Gaara-Kun like if his dating anyone, asked about you, reasons why you should be together, how his worried about you, and things like that."

I sighed "like I've been saying he doesn't have feelings for nor do I have feelings for him. Yes in the last week I was there we spent lots of time together, but that was just making sure everyone that was conspiring to kill Gaara was weeded out. That's all!"

"Sure sure and you didn't grow feelings in all that time or anything..." the tree had formed a face at this time, and was smirking at me.

Next thing I knew a huge white bird landed on a branch above my head.

"Gaara has been taken help us find him" the giant bird said in Zen's voice.

The tree and bird watched me as I stood up. I made some hand signs. After a moment shadows started to move, and starch towards me. One by one the creeped forward, and upwards starting to take the shapes of men, woman, and children.

"Find Gaara now." Was all I said the shadows stood swaying a little before slinging back to the ground, and speeding off in deferent durations. "Tell the guys I'll find him no matter what."

The tree smirked "see this is why they know you have feelings for him." With that the tree and bird were gone.

With their absence all I could think about was the last two weeks I spent with Gaara.

It was raining by the time I got to Gaaras office. The anbu walked behind me. I knocked on Gaara's office door. "Come in" came his voice I'm not sure if anyone else could tell, but I could he was tired.

Walking up to Gaaras desk to say he looked curious was an understatement, I don't know how I didn't see it after all this time I had been watching him Gaara has more emotion then I first thought.

"Natsumi....what are you doing with one of my anbus who has been missing for the past week?"

I gave the anbu a not so friendly tap on the back that made him stumble forward. "Go on tell him."

So the anbu told Gaara about the councils plan to control him, the attack on Lao, hiring me to get close to him, and many more things that I wasn't around for. Once all was said and done Gaara sat back in his chair looking back and forth between the anbu, and myself.

"The anbu won't cause you anymore trouble he has swarm to keep an ear out for any more plans angst you. Isn't that right anbu."

The anbu visibly shook with fear from the tone in my voice. "I will do whatever it takes to keep the Kazekage safe even if it takes me life."

"Good boy." I patted his head, and he sunk lower to the ground. "Now leave." In a poof a smoke the anbu was gone.

"Where did he go?" Gaaras eyes were on me I could feel his anger and confusion.

"He is going back to the underground keeping an ear out like he said." I walked behind Gaaras desk leaning agents it facing the windows. Gaara leaned back in his chair to get a better look at me.

"I've tried to commend my sand to attack you a few times, but it won't listen to me....my demon says to not harm you...why? You can't be trusted you were hired to come here, to get close to me, to watch me, and you have been for months..."

"It's the lotions, bath soups, and candles I gave you." I picked up the candle on his desk, and looked at it. "You see I put a little something extra in the things I gave you to make you more trusting of me, to fall for me......throw them out, and in no time at all you'll be sending anbus after me."

"All this time, I had no idea....Zen, and Lao?"

"They had nothing to do with this. They are ex anbus for hire, they just want to live out the rest of their lives together." I looked over at Gaara "let them stay here they like it here once Lao is better marry them like you said you would. That would make them happy, and show people who still want you controlled, or dead that the council didn't get to you."

"How.....what happened to the council people? It's like they are frozen, but there is no ice."

I put the candle back on the desk while smirking a little. I looked Gaara in the eyes "I control blood, yours, mine, that cat that's on your roof.....I can make you do whatever I want, or kill you on the spot."

"How?" Gaaras eyes had gone a little wide when I waved my hand and his did the same without his control.

"Have your ever heard of the Chi village massacre?" I looked back out the window.

"Yes no one knew much about the village, or why everyone was killed...."

"That was my village, and I killed them. Every so often one child would be born with the power over blood, normally they kill the child, but when I was born they had already made a plan, they wanted to use me as a weapon to attack other villages, and like all villains they wanted to rule the world."

"You must have only been five at the time....what made you kill everyone?"

I looked over to meet Gaaras green blue eyes "because I knew even then that it wasn't right."

I looked around the forest waiting for one of my shadows to come back. I left later that night, but I remember Gaara asking me why I saved him. I didn't answer because I didn't know what to say I still don't know the answer, I just know that I will do anything to keep him safe even if it kills me.
