Chapter 10: The ceremony

(Y/n) pov: present day and time

I landed on my designated landing pad and hopped out my chair, walking through the cockpit and to the compartment chamber. I restocked all available Ammo just incase, and out the mask back on, throwing over a hood from the hoodie I had on under my armor. My guns were loaded, and my bow was retracted in my left arm piece, with my suit at full power. Then existing the ship, I was greeted by a tall slim man, fixing his tie that matched his dark suit vest. He was taller then most, slightly taller then me, and worse brown leather gloves with holes on the front wrist.

"Evening sir, Im Junior, in the flesh".

"Nice to finally meet you" I said, shaking his hand, and crushing it slightly, throwing a tracker on him while he was distracted by the pain.

"A strong grip sir, now I am instructed to lead you to your table".

"My table?" I asked, remaining stone faced, and emotionless.

"Yes, a guest of honor must have his table. I have already arranged the having of certain....companions for your pleasure. The ceremony doesn't start for another hour, so I would recommend...".

I had already started to walk past him to explore the area, and he shouted back "where are you going?".

"To explore" I said coldly, turning the corner, and then disappearing into the shadows of the inside building.....

Ruby pov:

I walked outside my dorm room and over 2 to where (Y/n) and his teams form would be. I gently knocked and the door and waited for a response. I had come here to see if (Y/n) wanted to hang out or something, since he has been alone tinkering all day, and I couldn't do anything with him because the team wanted it practice most of the day, and the other parts being yang pestering me about (Y/n). While lost in thought, I failed to notice the door was being opened, and a tired looking Carth answered it.

"Yes Ruby?" He asked, looking like was tired from training.

Weiss also had just showed up at the dorm, looking like she was tired to. Maybe it's connected....

"Have you seem (Y/n)? He has been alone in their all day".

"No, but he left his stuff here, probably doing something with his sister though. Endar and yin should be back form the city soon though, but you could always text him to".

"I would have, but it is better to see someone upfront and close ya know?".

"Yeah, I know Ruby. Especially when that someone has hair as white as snow......" he said, looking like he was day dreaming about someone, probably Weiss form my guess.

I cringed at the thought of him getting all mushy gushy with her, and he saw my uncomfortable stance.

"Oh please, if you could, you would be alllll over (Y/n)".

I felt my face flush a deep blood red, and I tired to deny it, but my face gave me away. Carth started to laugh at my embarrassment, and rolled his eyes.

"It's alright Ruby, I won't tell him. I'm not that mean, all I can say is good luck".

He smiled a war smile back at me, before closing the door, and leaving me walking back to my dorm with my scroll, typing away at (Y/n)s number....

I walked past several guards and into the ceremony room, taking note of everyone attending. There was a lot of guards for some reason, something I found humorous because some of the greatest bounty hunters in the role were here. I got looks from lots of people, but nobody dared approached me, which I don't know why, I don't bite. I walked over to my "table" and saw that those "companions" Junior mentioned earlier were there, all in clothing that showed off....parts.... and all giggly and bubbly. None of them look good though, and as I sat down I thought about who did look good.
