Author's POV

Once Ayeon received all the necessary information regarding that one young girl, she hurriedly put on her black lightweight jacket, black cap and black converse. That was just in case she got her hands dirty or something.

She grabbed a black mask, just in case someone might be following her and stormed out of the house without telling Mingyu beforehand. She did give a thought on telling him about her ghastly current condition, but she forgot to do so.

Chasing after that one girl made her feel sick of herself, sick of her old job, sick of why was she got to be involved with them on the first place.

Caffe Bene was one alarming place for her to be. It was kind of popular in Itaewon and she would declare herself as a regular customer there, along with Chan. It was a few blocks away from Chan's house and a good 15 minutes walk from hers.

She decided to put on her mask, afraid that the workers would notice her appearance. As she stepped inside, the sound of the bell rang echoed throughout the cafe, signalling a new customer, but because of her disguise, none made a single glance at her.

After a while examining the whole cafe, she noticed a familiar figure sitting at the end corner of the cafe and she was indubitably grateful that the latter didn't sit near the window as it might lead to a massive trouble.

"Hey," she said in a calm, unhurried voice as she tried to control her overwhelming emotions inside her.

The girl tilted her head, looking directly into Ayeon's eyes, giving the older a questioning look. Well, who wouldn't be? A stranger who was currently wearing all black suddenly came out of nowhere appeared in front of you and even greet you.

"Can I have a seat?"

The girl then nodded, giving Ayeon a warm smile upon hearing that, assuming that Ayeon's intention was going to be good but she sure didn't know how the world works.

And that was when it all began.
