Author's POV
It was past midnight and Mingyu was wandering alone in the living room, waiting for Ayeon. He realized Ayeon wasn't at home when he was checking on her before he went to sleep, being a protective brother he did that every day. His eyes darted around the living room, nose twitched as he was trying to figure something up.
Mingyu was about to fish his phone out of his pocket when he heard the front door being unlocked. He dashed towards the clicking sound, but his mouth went agape the moment he saw his little sister's condition. She was covered in blood.
Mingyu could see that Ayeon's hands were trembling real hard as she was holding it in from throbbing in front of him. Mingyu came to his sense once he realized what exactly was going on with his sister, he locked the front door furiously before guiding Ayeon inside.
He hastily dragged Ayeon to the washroom before he sped up to Ayeon's room, grabbing some clean clothes. He knew for sure he needed to help his sister out and that he was the one Ayeon really needed.
"Clean yourself. I'll take care of everything."
And that was when Ayeon started to tear up, anxiety overwhelming her. She felt suffocated, she felt numb with herself. She didn't know what to do anymore with her life.

Ayeon went out of the washroom looking all pale and plopped down on the coach, with Mingyu next to her. Her hands were trembling with and odd rhythm, motioning that she was not in a good state, physically and mentally.
Mingyu found himself staring her, nothing else, yet he could feel that both of their pulses were beating quite fast, not at a normal rate.
"What happened?"
Mingyu's eyes crunched in anticipation of something bad while the girl debated with the question her brother gave her, she had tried to construct a good sentence before telling him everything. Mingyu knew what was happening right when he saw Ayeon at the front door, but he was still shocked to hear the truth from Ayeon's herself.
"Are you out of your mind?" he tried to control his voice, he wouldn't want to yell at his sister nor getting mad at her, that was the last thing he wanted to do, but he failed. He was so disappointed in her.
"You said you've stopped! You didn't tell me there's more! All those things were a total gibberish. I'm extremely upset with you, young lady. That crop would be found in just 24 hours and we're in the same neighbourhood for god's sake! We're going to be investigated."
"I-I didn't think about that."
Mingyu ruffled his hair in frustration, knowing that scolding her wouldn't bring back that Soomin girl alive. It won't make Ayeon's any better too.
"M-Mingyu, where did you put my clothes and t-that knife e-earlier?"
"I burnt them and put the ashes along with that thing in a shard before burying them. You told me you have to murder Wonwoo. He's my best hyung! What are you, brainless? I'm not going to let you lay a single hand on him."
"I won't either," Ayeon comforted her brother a little bit with her words. The fact that Mingyu didn't know two shits about the consequences if she didn't kill the assign victim within two months made up her mind.
She knew what she got to do.
