Trigger warning ⚠️

You sat in your bathroom on the floor. You slid the blade across your arm once more. Whore. Freak. Fat. Emo. Mistake. Just like her mother. He never should have took you in. Your father was Gerard Way and your mother... well, she was a prostitute.

She was like that ever since you were born and when you were 12 years old, Gerard took your mother to court and got full custody of you. You are now 14 and in high school. It was your freshmen year and the other kids tormented you.

You slid the razor across your arm again and watched the blood pool out. "OH MY GOSH (Y/N)!!!" You snapped your head towards the door and see your 9 year old sister standing in the doorway with her hand over her mouth. You quickly put the razor in your back pocket.

"I'm fine Bandit. It's just some scratches." You tried to reassure her. "NO! You're hurt badly! I'll get mom and dad! Just hold on!" She said. "NO!" You yelled, grabbing her sleeve. "But-" "No B, I'm fine. Dad and mo- Dad and your mom don't need to help me.

I can clean up by myself, ok?" You said, interrupting her. She tilted her head obviously confused but shrugged. "Alright. How'd you get those scratches anyways?" She asked and you began cleaning yourself up. "The cat." You lied. You hate lying to your sister.

But she's too young to understand. Besides if you had told her the truth she would immediately tell your dad and step mom. "Oh." Said your sister. You cleaned yourself up and put your Five Nights At Freddy's hoodie back on and zipped it up.

You calmly led your sister out of your bathroom and out your bedroom. When you closed the door you broke down. That was too close. It's a good thing it was only Bandit that saw you like that and not Gerard. You know how he feels about this sort of thing and you'd hate to disappoint him.

"Are you girls ready to go to the carnival?!" Gerard called from downstairs. He was taking you and Bandit to the carnival while Lindsey was out with friends. "Coming dad!" Bandit called. She darted downstairs as fast as she could go. "(Y/n), you coming?" Your dad calls.

"I'll be down in a minute!" You shout back. You looked back in the mirror and finished putting on your eyeliner. After that you zipped up your hoodie and went downstairs. Gerard was standing by the door and your sister was bouncing up and down.

"(Y/n), it's like 80 degrees out. You don't need a hoodie." He says. You just shrug. "I'll be alright." You said. Really you were just trying to hide your scars. "Are you sure? You're going to sweat your butt off out there." Gerard asked. You just nodded.

"Is it because of your scratches?" Bandit spoke up. You inwardly cringed. Gerard raised his eyebrow and gave a suspicious look. "What scratches?" He asked. "Uh, j-just some scratches from the cat." You lied, though, it seemed your dad saw right through it.

"The cat must have got you bad if it made you bleed like that!" She said. In mentally face palmed. Gerard gave you a hard look. He then knelt down to Bandit's height. "Sweetie, I need to have a word with your sister. Can you wait upstairs please?" He asked.

"Ok dad." She said before skipping up the stairs. I tried to sneak away but Gerard wasn't gonna let that happen. "Not so fast!" He said, approaching you. He towered over you with his arms crossed and a stern look on his face that made you want to cry.

"Roll up your sleeves." He commanded. You being the little smart ass you were you grabbed your sleeves, quickly rolled it up then back down. "There I rolled it up!" You said, not looking at your dad. "Damn it!" He muttered and grabbed your wrist. "No don't!"

But too late. Gerard had already yanked your sleeve up and saw all the fresh cuts. His eyebrows nearly knitting together with a horrified expressions. "Fuck... (y/n)... why?!" He asked. You gulped as tears ran down your face. You finally decided to tell him everything about what's been going on at school.

What they say, what they do to you in the bathrooms, and when they beat you up in the hallways. You were a sobbing mess at the end and Gerard pulled you into a hug. "I love you sweetheart. It doesn't matter what those assholes at school tell you.

They're wrong! You're beautiful, extremely talented, and you have a little sister who looks up to you! Never let those fucking dumb asses tell you what you're not. I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore, ya hear? If you feel like doing this, come talk to me or Lindsey.

I love you so much (y/n)." Gerard says. You cried even more and tightly hugged him back. "Thanks dad. I love you too." You sniffled. He kissed the top of your head and let you go. "Why don't I get your sister and we go to that carnival. Maybe that'll cheer you up."

You smiled and nodded. You seriously had the best dad ever!
