Holding her hand up pointing the stars out for herself she seemed like she hadn't told me everything yet."Well I would say we were closer then friends, an on and off kinda relationship y'know."She seemed to be submissive about this whole thing."Your expecting me to be just like her huh?'She turned her head and stared at me for a while."Maybe I could better understand this whole problem if you could tell me what she was like.Do you mind Ruby?"She smiled and put her hand down."Well I guess I could do that.First off, Suki wasn't a very normal person. She was energetic and filled with so much pride in herself. She was kind at times but she had a habit of hurting those she cared about... I can't say I wasn't one of them. But I couldn't blame her for that. She was very powerful demon, her magic was based on death infact. Taking that into consideration she did end up killing allot of people in the time she was alive."I didn't expect Suki to be so different to me, yet I felt like something about the way Ruby described her made me think if I was a person unable to avoid someones death being my fault."She continued on about Suki, she had so much to say about her.I could tell that whoever she was she really meant allot to Ruby."I and her have been living for a few centuries although I am sure you can't tell that when looking at me huh?'I didn't respond but the expression on her face meant she knew what my answer would have been."Immortal, young and ready to face the world we almost did everything together..almost."She stopped talking and closed her eyes.I could see the tear flow slowly down her right eye, reflecting the moonlight as it flowed down her cheek.I realised talking about Suki really must have brought up some pent up emotions so I waited a minute before continuing the conversation."She sounds like a great person, I'm sorry you lost her Ruby."She opened her eyes and grabbed my hand tightly."I didn't lose you Suki! Your right here with me and I'm never gonna let you pull a stunt like that again."I couldn't tell if she was talking to me or expecting Suki to hear what she'd said.I sat up and put my hand ontop of hers."Listen Ruby, I know you and Suki must have been close and all but I really can't be expected to leave the life I have just to pick up where she left off." She looked down in disapointment."I just really wanted you back...I been waiting fifteen years to get you back but I guess I can't expect you to still care about me."She stood up and walked slowly around the edge of the lake.I felt like I hurt her feelings somehow so I followed shortly after."Wait!Ruby just because I'm not her anymore doesn't mean you have to leave." She stopped in her tracks and looked back at me."W-What do you mean?" I continued walking till we stood close, eye to eye."I don't know if it's me or some presence inside me but for some reason I can't bare to see you go.Maybe we can't be what you and her were but I bet we can still be friends."Her eyes started to brighten up when she heard that."You could get to know who I am and I can get to know you all over again, like I err...-Suki would have wanted.Well what do you say Ruby? Can we be friends?"I held out my right hand waiting for an answer."You really think we could start over?" Her hand slowly reached for mine. I held her hand and smiled."We might as well give this thing a shot right? We can still hit things off like before."I spoke without thinking and the words came out all wrong. But before I could correct myself she hugged me again."Thanks, Suki.."I resisted telling her that wasn't my name, I thought she probally needed this moment to last a little longer. She let go of me and started to giggle."Well you better get going now. That vampire seemed pretty upset that you left her out of the blue."I back up with a confused expression on my face. What do you mean me? You were the one so insistent about me going with you in the first place."We stare at each other for a while start laughing."Heh, well I guess your right. You coming with?I'm sure Sam would like to meet you."She smiled and shook her head."Sorry I gotta get going.I really don't have time for a chat with her.But tell her I said 'hi' if you wanna.I'm sure shes waitng for an explianation why her boyfriend was with another girl for so long."I get nervous and fold my arms."Eh we're not like that, I'm too young to be her boyfriend anyways."She grins and leans in close."Oh is that so?Well I guess fate has shined upon me once again huh?"I tried to take a step back but she already kissed me on the cheek and started running in the other direction."Bye Suki-I mean Rizo!" I smiled and waved in response. The sun was just about to rise when I arrived back at the camp.I was exausted and just wanted to sleep the sleep of a dead man. When I got inside the tent I could already see that Sam had covered herself in a sleeping bag and a blanket over that. She really didn't like the daytime for obvious reasons.I layed down on top of the other sleeping back and closed my eyes.I couldn't wait to tell Sam about my conversation with Ruby and who Suki was. Although I thought it best to leave certain parts as to avoid being questioned about how close Ruby really got to me that night. As I was falling asleep I heard a voice in my head for a brief moment. But I was too tired to care what it said.
